Larry hangman, and Ken kercheval made Dallas was it was. At 50 years old, I can watch these episodes like they were yesterday. As a child, my only fond memory I have with my mother was watching this on a Wednesday evening 2000hrs. Dallas was brilliantly written, and evolved on brilliantly from its original concept. Larry Hagman stole the limelight from Patrick Duffy, and from there, the Writers never looked back. Thank you to all those involved, past/present, in making Dallas the greatest ever soap. “RIP Cliff Barnes, may you and JR slug it out some more for those that enjoy the best entertainment up in heaven” God Bless x

I couldn't get past the first few episodes of the Dallas reboot so I never knew what they did with the Cliff Barnes character until I looked it up online... what a lousy direction to take that character -- it makes me wonder why Ken agreed to go along with it.. by then, he must have had enough pull to say "wait a minute, I won't turn the character into a terrorist and end up in a Mexican jail" -- I'm glad I didn't watch!

The TNT version of Dallas i couldn't follow at all. What they did to Cliff was ridiculous. Cliff was the underdog you just loved, he wasn't JR in a million years and for good reason. So no TNTs version of Cliff stunk for me. I love Dallas with all my heart grew up with it as a kid. I loved them all, but Patrick Duffy as Bobby was my favourite loved it when he punched out JR. But the TNT version wasn't a patch on the original Dallas series, didnt come close.
@stephaniee38146 жыл бұрын
That's something I'll always agree with, what you said about what they did to Cliff on the TNT reboot, was ridiculous. That wasn't Cliff in the TNT reboot, in my opinion. At the very most, I was glad that I could see more Ken Kercheval, but they could have definitely done him and the character more justice then the crap they came up with... totally inconstant with the original (the real) Cliff!

I loved watching Ken Kerchival. He made the character his. Cliff was a complex man. I wish I could have seen this. The battles that went on between Cliff & J.R were fantastic. & the story that Cliff thought he was Sue Ellen's babys father.. That was a great story. Even if it turned out that J.R was actually the dad. I always liked Ken Kerchival.

the last season of this new Dallas Tnt was a bit of a pain with the role of Clift still in his prison. Certainly Larry Hagman having died; the confrontation with JR Cliff could not be done anymore !!! But Ken Kercheval would have deserved better with John Ross son or daughter; the plot would have been more dense. Because it dragged on with the cartel !!! 😱
