So sorry for your loss 😢As someone who has recently lost pets my heart goes out to you .I will keep you and yours in my thoughts and prayers .One was my 53 year old African Grey Parrot I rescued 25 years ago .His sudden death traumatized me deeply .I was inconsolable to say the least .He had became friends with the resident Northern Mockingbird couple and they had some lively conversations sitting on the arbor outside his aviary .The pair sat outside the window for 3 nights singing after his death .No human could comfort me but nature did .Truly one of the most beautiful moments I have ever experienced in nature.They nest in the tree above his grave these days.Though I may feel alone I really am not .I am not the only one who misses my best friend

What a shame Bob, one of the little ones crossed the rainbow, at least he was happy in life. I hope the drowning was quick, so he didn't suffer too much. So sweet and cute, but they are little and don't realize that danger is always lurking. Bob you have to remember that he was happy and his days were well spent, his life was very short, but Tommy lived intensely.

Poor Tommy but sometimes unforseen accidents happen. Years ago when I first started keeping chickens I had a hen that hatched a batch of chicks. I was using a pan for water and one of the babies fell in and drowned. I switched to the gallon size chicken waterers with the shallow pan at the bottom. Live and learn, sadly!
