What a song... my favorite song by Nevermore with "Sentient 6 " as a very close second. That part when Jeff Loomis is shredding nd Warrel is singing is sooooooooooooooooooooo good. RIP Warrel. By the way, if you wanna see another side of Warrel's voice listen to "Battle Angels" by Sanctuary.

The goddamn pacing on this song is perfect. That's what truly makes it their best in my eyes. Songs this long that don't feel like it are when you know they are great pieces of work. Had that same feeling with Vektor last year. Hearing this song again after so long just made me realize again how underrated this band was and still is. R.I.P Warrel

Say brother great tribute and great choice. My fav track from this album is "My acid words". I just ended a Vid of mine paying tribute to Warrrell with this album playing in the background. I had forgotten about nevermore and sanctuary through the years. if you havnt already? listen to "believe in nothing" beautiful song from one of nevermore's best releases but their best work is the album " Dreamimg Neon Black" glad to have come up on your channel.

Just subscribed because of this reaction. Loved the energy you showed man. I imagine I look the same way when hearing amazing shit the first time. Keep it going man. By the way, Sanctuary, who also featured Warrell Dane, is amazing. A little more doom and gloom involved, but the last album from them was amazing.

Got some Sanctuary on the list that we will get to at some point. The list has gotten so long in just 2 months lol.

thanks for this tribute...I have been a fan since the "Refuge Denied" Sanctuary days..and then Nevermore w/Jim Sheppard. this news today floored me. He was one of the greatest metal singers in the genre imo. check out some Sanctuary.."Into the Mirror Black" or "Refuge Denied"

Adding them both to the list. I imagine I will feel the same when Bruce Dickinson and Devin Townsend pass. All the best to you on this rough day bud.

I should say any particular songs from those albums? 1 from each would be great!

You probably want to listen to Battle Angels from Refuge Denied and Future Tense from Into the Mirror Black.

Good rec from Refuge Denied and IMHO there is a bad choice on ITMB. Unreal great disc.

You probably really should have checked out this band earlier, but the good thing about music is that it will never die and will be out there forever. :)

No such thing as a bad Nevermore song! If you want an epic song in the form of one of their likely most underrated tracks, check out The Learning, on the Year of the Voyager live performance (posted on Century Media's page). It comes right before Sentient in the lineup, so maybe a good double-header for you.
