Hey everyone Greek person here. That story about the 25 year old pregnant woman is actually pretty old and thankfully resolved. Apparently the woman went to get her phone fixed and an Afghan person led her to a dark place abd r@ped her. Later she approached a group of 3 Pakistani men for help and they led her to their apartment and r@ped ger also. After the neighbours heard her screams abd went out to the balconies to ask what happened the nen got scared and let her go. She immediately ran to the police who arrested the men but weren't able to find the first perpetrator. Some months later a 34year old man was found on Paros island after he r@ped and brutally beat a 22year old teenage girl and was then Identified as the original perpetrator. They have all been imprisoned and will serve most of their life in jail. Thankfully the woman was given justice and went on to live a happy life and I think the baby survived. All of these people were immigrants who got here illegally and without a passport or a visa. So yeah even though this situation caused widespread attention and the Hellenic police went on to arrest 70.000 illegal immigrants it also caused a small period of hate towards Foreign immigrants. It's really sad that things like this happen but thankfully crime rates have significantly decreased since then and xenophobia is at an all time low now

Due to being bullied as a child, I never thought anyone apart from my parents would love me, so I kept hold of the relationship for 4 years until she told me I couldn't talk to one of my only remaining friends because he was gay. At that point I woke up, realised I could probably do better, and ditched her. Was the best decision I've ever made in my life. Nobody deserves that level of abuse, no matter how low they may be in their life, they're not worthy of that.

She was cheating on me when we were first dating and I didn'y find out until about a year in. Part of me wanted to believe she cared and that she would stop, but nope. I ended up just being so disconnected from everything, only thing I would do is eat, sleep, and work 50 hour weeks in fast food. She had enough of me after two years and as soon as she turned 18 moved in with a 28 yo guy. I realized I could probably do better but just didn't care enough to split it off sooner. They’ll talk to everyone involved, evaluate the situation thoroughly, and take the correct route of action. If she claims he did anything, they’re gonna want proof or witnesses, and with that video he has, he’s very obviously not “getting cuffed” lol.. women can be abusers too, and they aren’t always dealt with in the correct ways because they’re women, I agree, but that doesn’t happen as often as you people assume… And it’s never as dramatic as the man getting arrested immediately for no reason other than a woman’s claims.. that’s a huge leap you’re taking there. @@GenerationLex I think growing up while experiencing abuse is what makes these sorts of situations take place and carry on. My family is really messed up, I grew up surrounded by physical and verbal violence, poverty, pornography and even got molested a couple of times. All that along with the values of Christianity getting drilled into me for years, made me have a very skewed view of love and relationships. It took me years of looking at stuff online to get to a better place, but I don't think even years of therapy will fix me. I went from "Women get hit and called whores by their husbands, it's just how it is" to " I'll be better than that, I won't hit my partner" like that's not just the bare minimum. Then I went into the other direction, saying I'll let my partner hit me because I deserve it. I distinctly remember me and a girl friend of mine joking about getting together and me saying I'd let her hit me if she wants, to which she replied "Why would I do that?" with a wtf look on her face. That conversation hit me like a brick, and I think I've grown a lot since then. I could have easily become a victim, if I were to meet the wrong person at the wrong time. My confidence is still in shambles but I'm very sure I've learned enough to not be a victim or an abuser. Many men in abusive relationships brush it off when they get hurt as "it's just how it is" and having to "man up and take it". I had the same mentality and it's really hard to let it go, especially when the vast majority of people laugh at male victims , calling them weak and pathetic.

Training a seeing eye dog from birth to the point where it's ready to be paired with a person costs upwards of $10 grand. Even after the dog is ready, the pairing process itself takes months of the dog and person training together and forming a bond. A couple years ago a very good friend of mine had to put down his seeing eye dog after being together for years due to cancer. It devastated him and he still doesn't feel ready to seek a replacement even though his freedom of movement is significantly reduced without his companion. I had a set of wind chimes engraved for him to act as an audible tombstone. Taking such a companion from someone is even worse than the already unforgivable sin of kidnapping a normal pet. The bonds between them are exceptionally strong by necessity and taking them away leaves their owners demonstrably worse off.

I really feel bad for that guy. Because as a woman, I actually experienced what Aliurus said. I got my period really early and I'm very heavy with it. I was in the grocery store and it happened. It was all down my legs, stained my skirt and I had nothing to cover up with, I was mortified. I've yelled at pharmacy workers before after they entered in my worker's comp prescription incorrectly and had me running around for 5 days trying to fix their error. They couldn't seem to understand that worker's comp wasn't "taking awhile to process" but that it wouldn't process until they fixed the information in their system and resubmitted the script. I finally had to go there on my lunch break to call my case worker and have her sort it out with the pharmacy. They then entered in my name incorrectly so I had to go through it all over again with them and that's when I lost it. It wasn't even pain killers it was anti inflammatories for 3 bulged discs in my spine. I also saw at least 3 other people lose their cool at that pharmacy because of exactly the same issue. So incompetence exists even at the pharmacy. I kind of think it might have been a scam because they kept trying to get me to pay for it out of pocket and "just have worker's comp reimburse you". The other people they tried to pull that with also said the same except they were on insurance.
