Friends, today I am sharing diwali special recipes of two nasta.
"દોથા પૂરી - Dotha Puri", & "GOBA PURI"
For both of these traditional tasty puris, I have used all purpose flour, though it can be made using wheat flour too.
DOTHA PURI (દોથ પૂરી) which is age old recipe of a snack item made during Diwali festival days. This recipe is now almost lost and hardly made at some places. Though it is so tasty and worth trying. The method of preparing dough is unique. Due to that, Puris becomes soft crispy and with layers inside when fried at low flame.
GOBA PURI (ગોબા પૂરી) is also very old traditional recipe which is made with very few ingredients. The layers created due to its method of kneading dough is a specialty of this amazing recipe. The little sweet taste of this FARSI PURI give it an edge over other Puris.

FOR MAIDA NI DOTHA PURI
125 grams all-purpose flour
5 tsp oil + 2 tsp vegetable ghee
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp crushed black pepper
½ tsp crushed cumin seeds
Warm water as required

FOR MENDA NI GOBA PURI
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup milk
¼ cup sugar
1/8 cup rava (semolina)
1 tbsp pure ghee
1 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp rice flour
