Day 1 King - First time playing a 3D fighter...I have no idea what I'm doing and took a ton of L's but I'm having a great time. King is such a godlike character. He is super fun to play and has a ton of flare and hype command grabs in this game. GGs to everyone I played. Had some issues in beginning not being able to rematch/other players not being able to rematch with me and random crashes but now everything seems to be fixed. The game is great and if you are a grappler fan I highly recommend getting it just so you can try out King.

Surprised you would have never played tekken and that you are getting grab chains so early. As the other guy said though you are connecting a lot of throws so must be playing against noobs. Tekken is pure legacy game legacy players wont eat that so much. I been playing it since PS1 demo disc, most people would not be getting caught by throws like that hence why you dont see king grab chains much in higher leagues. 1 tip for king though, if you side step and press 1 of the grabs think it is 1+3 grab he will go into a side dodge and grab them into second grab of a grab chain. You can use this to punish big moves. Also some of the grab chain moves interconnect so one move that is in multiple grab chains you can have options and end it in multiple endings. You always want to go for rolling death cradle really but its the hardest one to do. I dont play tekken after 7, rage arts ruined the franchise for me.

Because he has a good selection of normals and strings too, he just gets his max damage and mixups from command grabs but they don’t go about neutering him so that’s all he can do. Thats why king is the goat

King was always much better than Zangief. The only thing he had for a long time was veteran charisma and iconic influence being the first grappler, and only in the modern SFs he was chosen to have fun flashy stuff. (Besides his over the top stuff in Marvel and the EX games, that are not canon) Then now the TK devs wanted to give King flashy stuff too.

I think back3+4 when you’re laying on the ground is that jump-up exploder- king gets ton of range on that and can turn into the fast face-away kick if you land backwards

King is legit dude. Ive been playing him since Tekken 1 XD. Best way to learn what works is by watching LilMajin. Hes the GOAT of King players. Also...Sick Muscle buster chain throw. That shit aint easy.

They actually modified the inputs on the chain throws now, so you can either do the OG inputs for added damage, or the new single button extensions just to keep the chain moving along and see if anybody did their studying.
