R&L's loss! The two of you were the best Ambassadors, and Public Relations Staff, that they had. They suffered a great loss that day. I wish you two the best of luck in your new endeavors. As always, drive safe, and take care of yourselves! God Bless!

I drive semi and some trucking companies think they own you , I left one companies truck at the flying j in el paso and got on a plane. I keep my expenses low , just live in my van when I'm "home" to travel etc. I hauled fuel for superior tank lines in colton paying me 32/hr and quit telling them they can get another slave

Yeah but guys even Hazard teams at the end of the week driving a truck wears you down people you know don't understand they say you're just sitting in a seat where is wooden with being a mechanic it's you know physical work but being a truck driver it's mentally work you always have to be aware yeah that's taxing in a week or even before so my hat's off to you guys

I’m thinking of going to RL with my team driver of 2 years. What’s the average weekly pay? Is advertised on their site as $2k a week Do they pay by cpm or flat rate?
@brandonmezzell4921
@brandonmezzell4921 2 жыл бұрын
@@jerrybnasty5115 so you actually get paid in settlements. So there is a predetermined amount per run that you get. Central has explained the formula to a few ppl. But it's rather confusing tbh. So my wife and I when we started ran wild for two months. And we were averaging $1600 take home eachm not sure what it was before taxes were taken out. But now we have a dedicated route from TX to Kansas, we bring home $1400 a week, which is about $1950 before taxes. We run about 5100 miles a week. So if you divide it out comes to be like .72cpm. but again they don't pay cpm
@jerrybnasty5115
@jerrybnasty5115 2 жыл бұрын
@@brandonmezzell4921 gotcha! I interviewed with RL a couple months ago and I was set on doing their line haul in So Cal but long story short something came up and I went back otr as a 1099. I spoke to HR and terminal manager and they seemed pretty cool, I think I’ll pick them over estes or saia. I’m going to do their linehaul (listed as top pay entry) and after winter I’ll most likely run teams with my co driver
@brandonmezzell4921
@brandonmezzell4921 2 жыл бұрын
@@jerrybnasty5115 yeah we get alot of driver over from Saia and FedEx honestly. And the people who leave R+L to go there usually come back. It's a good company, depending on your terminal it really has a family vibe to it. Good money, and my wife and I would be making more running wild. But on our dedicated bid, we are home every night for about 4-6hrs, and only run 500miles each a day. So the home time for us is amazing. Other who run wild and like to be out definitely make that $2,000 a week each. But wife and I aren't runners anymore. We did that with our first few companies. We're ready to enjoy our money and start planning for the future.

I would like to do that with my wife as well when she’s done raising our 4 daughters lol The run you have sounds extremely laid back! @bigdawgsbusa2

@@chazsisk2898 I made money as a company driver I can’t deny that. Motivation was my key and the understanding of how the trucking industry worked as a whole, granted it’s not all fare weather and problem free. Believe me it was hard to walk away from 120 plus a year as a company driver but fighting constantly over equipment maintenance can run anyone in the ground unless you just don’t care and that seamed to be the party line at the company I worked for they knew most drivers would run the loads and equipment no questions asked and if they got caught dispatch and safety would tell them well it’s your job to not run faulty equipment or pull improperly placarded trailers and the best one we didn’t tell you to go around the scales because of the overweight issues.

@@chazsisk2898 that’s a good deal team driving can generate more revenue. It all depends on what y’all plan on running dry vans, refer van, tankers, flat bed? When I started out as a O/O I pulled end dumps and hopper bottoms then purchased a few flat beds with my second truck.
