R-Ladies Baltimore (Bmore) hosted a meetup on Monday June 5, 2023. Dr. Berk Can Deniz (@berkcdeniz, / berk-can-deniz ) , a Data Scientist at Figma gave a presentation on causal inference in R using the package fixes.
Causal inference's popularity has exploded in academia and industry in recent years. As causal inference's importance grew, R has been one of the most important platforms where cutting-edge methods and packages are created and used. In this session, we will go over popular causal inference methods such as instrumental variables and differences-in-differences, and explore how to apply them in R.
WHO is this for?
If you are new to R but want to learn more about packages you can use to estimate parameters in models?
If you know R, but want to expand your knowledge about causal inference and how to implement these ideas with code?
If any/all of this is true, this event might be for you!
