Outstanding gameplay. I would like to see someone do this on hardest setting with slow bullets. There are more enemies, especially firemen shooting on ground. I play this mode from time to time because that was default settings of PCB in Arcade Cafe in my neighbourhood when I was a kid. Without bullets i hang on levels 4-1 and 4-3 (if i pass 4-1). Due to no continue in mission 5 no one in my Arcade Cafe was able to finish this game. I beat it on hardest/slow on mame long time ago but playing normally, not only punching or kicking or swording. Ah, and no magic button, cabinet i knew didn't have this magic button so i don't use it in mame also.

There is bug in mission 3 where You can become invisible for firemen if You make direct contact with rocketman X times. Sometimes it happens even with 2 or 3 collisions. I fast forwarded mission 3 so i don't know You used this or not.

wow this brings back some nostalgic HS memories... I had the highest score at the local arcade for the longest time (570k or so), until a friend of mine beat me at 600k. lol. I am slightly confused about the special 20k bonus for some of the boss stages though - thought the criteria was not shooting any ninja stars?!?

Clever play. Backtracking on stages to trigger more enemies so you can take them out for more points. I gotta admit I was not aware of the 256 shuriken bug, until now (though it makes sense if you think about it.. 8 bit counter resets back to 0x00 from 0xff...) - Thanks for the video. =) EDIT: And wtf!? You kicked Ben Oh to death! Thats awesome! I've picked up some great tips here. Thanks again. =)

Is that flying kick animation against Ken Oh the only time in the game that can be used? If so it's strange that they added those animations in there just to be used against one boss.

Is it difficult to perform that Lobster glitch where he gets dropped into the subfloor? It looks like you just get over him and face the right wall. Would be a useful strategy even in casual runs so you don't have to line up the shots perfectly.

95% to move on right side of him, 2 times on many tries i made it. And i repeated sequence with savestate. I am too average to get proper ambient situation.

@@ryszardadamus4241Try it with using Ninja Magic. To make him drop down 100% of the time use Ninja Magic. When you get on the right side of him go all the way to end of the screen and wait till you gets right next to you… like all the way up to you before he tries to hit you with his sword hit Ninja Magic and then crouch down facing right at the end of the screen. Trying to do it without using Ninja Magic is difficult because you have to have perfect timing to hit him with Shuriken but is so much easier to you Ninja Magic when he gets close enough and easier to time. I have video on my channel doing it.

Any advice to the casual player for the Mandara fight. It seems like every time I get to him it's impossible to get past the statues on my first player. Does the difficulty somehow get easier after losing a life? My strategy has been to quickly move up to the statues and unleash the ninja magic. But it seems like I get killed into the forcefield with just one statue left. Ideas?

Much harder without using magic, but still can be done.

the trick is to be close to the statues when shooting after magic without getting bounced back and then jump shooting the stack while moving back as they advance. thers also a glitch where you can bypass the statues stack by using magic close to them. as they advance they will pull you inside the stack and you get pushed out the other side. cant remember the specifics of it but i was doing it way back when playing in the arcade.

I was bounced to the right at first till last statue, then it reverted and finally landed on left. I think it is not 100% sure method, luck plays role here. But i don't think developer forseen such possibility. Always wondered why they made boss which can't be killed normal way. Anyway this game is one of the best game ever made.

@@ryszardadamus4241 i remember downing the first row or something like that. Its been ages since i was playing it in arcades - it is as you say a glitch just like boss 4 floor drop. It was indeed not 100%. Its also doable with 1 single life but it takes some practice.

Only 30 point from the high score(864,260 versus 864,290) had only 1 hit left on final boss but had to use the magic! Just throw the last shuriken at the final boss save the magic and easily beat the high score!

I can't drop Lobster to lower floor. I can do first part and move on right side, but then I can't find proper timing, he just kills me with sword.

Try using Ninja magic when you’re on the right side of him…wait till he gets all the way up to you just before he is able to strike you hit ninja magic. It will push him back then immediately face the opposite direction of him crouching down at the end of screen. This will cause him to drop. Once he drops reverse position and hold to the left and move away from him. It’s the easiest way to do it… it’s easier to time it

@@BIGgamez78 Thx, but i don't use magic button. On the Arcade i played this game long time ago, arcade cabinet didn't have the third button so no magic could be used. So I try to play games the same way i remembered them. I have seen how to do it and it will be enough to me. It's nice trick but still optional one.

@@ryszardadamus4241 lol I didn’t realize your comment was from 3 years ago… I’m assuming you now have the correct hood timing? The trick I use if I want to do it without using magic is by watching where Lobster stops at. I use the background to reference it and I hit him in the head with the Shuriken. He always stops at the same spot and you can mark it by looking at the designs of the background. It’s a cool glitch to show people but if you are trying to get the 20,000 bonus on the stage then it’s a must to do so you can do the 256 Shuriken glitch.

@@BIGgamez78 No, i am only average player without the capability to be so precise. Did this once or twice but it was just a luck I hit the correct timing. I can't even get 20k points from Ken-Oh because he swaps me on the other side and nails me then. And i don't know what 256 shurikens glitch is.

@@ryszardadamus4241 256 shurikens glitch is when you throw 256 shurikens it resets the counter to 0. So on level 2, level 3 and level 4 boss fights Ben is able to score 20,000 point bonus. Notice how he throws all those shurikens on those boss fights? He throws exactly 256 and it resets counter to 0 and he gets bonus. One of the aspects about gaming I love is discovering and learning new tricks and secrets to games. I found away to cause a glitch on level 5-3 with the enemy guys that attack with a pole… you can make them freeze in place.

if you destroy the helicopter missile launcher you will get more points. By the way, do they have to be 256 exact shurikens?

It is not worthy to stall the level, launcher gives so less points to play with it. Most points You will get from timer.
