仁王 Nioh α 3 on 1 Battles & Combos?!

Your previous Nioh video made me realize how much I suck at games in general. It also motivated me to step up my game. I spent a lot of hours playing the demo, using low stance far more than before. I wasn't quite able to take down the first boss with a naked lvl 1 character, but your video helped a lot. This video was just as crazy. Thanks for letting me get more enjoyment out of an otherwise fantastic demo!

My god those air combos at the end seriously made me wish there was some kind of expansive juggle mechanic in this game because that was beautiful.

Maybe in the next Nioh they could make the enemies fall alot slower and add a juggle mechanic in the game. That would be sweet. It would be a cool way to fight bosses as well

Pretty sad the demo is over, started off feeling not so strongly about it and wound up enjoying more than any Souls games combat prior. The mechanics are just so rewarding when you execute well in that same vein of a Souls game with the potential of a character action game. Great vid, nice discoveries!

Great job! props to Team Ninja for giving us over one week with free awesomeness. I find this game has so much replay value, but hope it will be harder, if you play safe its not so hard. This system of stances is what i was longing for in a Ninja gaiden game, like if the whole the moveset of Dragon Sword in NG 2 was stance 1/low, then totally new and different was 2, 3 etc with the possibility to link them also would make very varied and cool combat.

+razors4edge What can work is enemies can be more and more group oriented later in the game, with many weapon types, to offset their obvious group weakness of being stunlocked. And improved AI like a 'leader ai' will be supported by 'grunt ai' who attacks after the leader strikes, to combo you to death. And AI like backattacks would be neat, like the group would aim to surround you, then one of them will generally attack when you turn your backs against them.

i know it's a very old comment XD but i actually have the 2016 alpha demo on my jailbroken ps4 for a while and i dump it but i need to do some patching and stuff to disable things and make it playble again but I'm too lazy to do that lmao and it's gonna be so interesting to play it again since a lot of things changed in the final build and it will probably contain some cut content

I actually did! But i'm just one person, plus, the survey will be taken down along with the demo, so people may not be able to suggest anything in there. The air combos really makes me wish there are launch attack. I assure you there was a launch attack at some stage in the game development, maybe even jumb and air attacks mechanics. Maybe they removed because they affect the gameplay core or difficulty? Actually, I really find it weird when the first time I droped an enemy of the edge and starts to hold in the air after attacking him. And that makes me wonder why they it designed like this? What do you think? or maybe me trying to Sherlock? lol.

Having a launcher will just encourage creativity. I just love games that does that! Even if the game ended up without one, it's still alright. Onimusha was great even without a jump or juggles. I just hope they balance some stats, because this is what worries me the most. A player with high level and crazy good weapon would destroy everything in few seconds! Hey, man! Make sure you tell me more about this game when something important happens... i don't follow news too often :)

+Axmand Yeah you can parry like in ninja gaiden, I think they give you 4 varieties of special attacks that act like some sort of buff, and yes you do have combo finishers and or finishing moves. This game is surreal XD

I am so very disappointed with the results! I had a very strange feeling people would ruin it, just like they've ruined countless other games. "Revise enemy pursuit?" "Remove weapon/armor durability?" Really? I was hoping that they would make it more difficult by adjusting the AI and give enemies more defense, also make them spot you easier and follow you to the depth of the earth if you try to run away. But these people, ugh *facepalm"... how......... cute -_-

+hydrowk12 Well, even if we asked for weapons, skills, and all that good stuff we would never have gotten any of that because we will have to be whiny babies like this: "WAAAAH THE GAME IS SOOOO HARD" :'( But i'm not worried that much about the weapons, just by looking at some enemies you can tell there are more. The Yokai with 2 swords and probably ninjas, both have some moves that were probably taken from the main character. Pretty sure there are even more arrow types. What bothers me, is how most people were pressing on Team Ninja to tone down the difficulty. They were complaining about how enemies follow you until they kill you, how your character freeze to take a breather if you run out of Ki, and about broken weapons and armors to the point they decided to either remove those for good or adjust them to be less punishable. *reads more" Add hints to help get to the boss? Are they serious! REALLY? ARE THEY? -_-

+wutmayn No it's not? I'm not sure what to tell you but console exclusives sell consoles, but overall limit the actual longevity of any given community. All you have to do is look at things like Demon Souls, Bayonetta (2 in particular) and Wonderful 101 to see that while exclusives aren't bad for a console in the short term, long term the exploration of the game as a whole suffers. If you're knocking on me thinking this might come to PC at some point, well, what can I say, I'm a wishful thinker.
