All this stuff only happened this week, so I bet we won't find out the outcome for months. But I don't predict it ending favourably for him, since his contract has very strict and specific guidelines about morals and a code of conduct for public behaviour. As I said, why couldn't he just get an anonymous account to post his hateful crap. Then he could stand up for his 'God' AND keep his job and millions of dollars! :(

As much as he should have just told someone, he was smart to record them or else nothing probably would have happened aside from the guys maybe getting suspended. I once overheard one of my close male friends talking to his friends about how he was planning on taking my virginity at one point, he didn't care if he had to force me- he wasn't going to let anyone else take it. Community service is basically a slap on the wrist so I think it's fine. I personally don't blame OP for his actions but legally he did drug those scumbags with an illegal substance. The law has to stay reletaively consistent to be usable otherwise it turns into a lynch mob. Don't get me wrong though there's many cases where the law does fail and it is a flawed system but I don't think the law failed here.

A similar thing happened to me, my best friend wanted to get a girl drunk so he could smash but it didn't work out well for hem, he was planing on getting her drunk at he's house because he was throwing a party because he would go to the military soon to serve, he told me all about he's plan on giving her drink after drink and then I got a bright idea, I talked to the girl and informed her what my friend wanted to do so through the party my friend kept giving her drinks (vodka) and I would take the drink and give her an non alcohol drink and she started acting like she was drunk and finally my friend told her to go with hem in he's room she went and I followed right away, I heard my friend say to her to take her clothes of and then heard hem scream like a bitch, turns out the girl did something we hadn't planned, she kicked hem on he's growing so hard he started tearing up and screaming, I burst in to the run and helped my friend and after he was okay (1 hour later) I had a talk with hem and told hem I would beat the shit out of hem if he ever did something like that again and that I don't tolerate stuff like that, he understood and never did something like that again, funny enough the girl ended up asking me to go out and I rejected but we are still friends.

The thing I find most interesting about this story is how he was so conflicted between being lawful and invoking a harsh lesson. Although his actions were legally punishable, I believe that it had a deep moral aspect that I would deem justifiable. Not only did he save a girl from a traumatic experience that would probably put a scar on her for the rest of her life, but he might've indirectly saved his old friends from going down a path that would've been way worse than the attempted rape they got charged for. He did them all a bigger favor than people may realize. In truth, everyone who gave him a hard time about it should try to put themselves in the same conflicted situation, and how proud they should be that he took it upon himself to make amends for his past in such a spectacular way. To go from an unhinged, rebellious teenager to becoming a brave warrior who walks into a battlefield with a plan in mind and the goal to see some tough justice served.

As for your 'revenge' plot against the 3 would-be rapists.... I think you already know that some elements of it were a bit OTT. Your text indicates you know that. But you also write that you took responsibility in court, admitted to drugging your friends, and accepted community service as punishment... also a very mature thing to do! I'm glad you didn't get a record or serious jail time. At 17 years old, from an overall perspective, you did very well. The main thing you need to remember is what you did for your classmate... you saved a teenage girl from being drugged and gang raped! That is so amazing, you saved her from so much long-term damage and misery, seriously. You may never see that girl again, but I promise you... you are a hero to her! Always remember that. As you finish college and go out into the world - hopefully with a bit more wisdom from your years - remember that you saved someone in a big way. Feel pride about that for the rest of your life... you stood up for the teenage girl instead of joining in with the old 'boys club, go along with horrendous behaviour just to fit in' shit!
