The ending of the story where he talks about his grandmother passing made him realize how quickly loved ones can disappear and this is my way of saying I love, he has to mentally be thinking about his sister not his grandmother and killing her was his way of saying I love you sis. And that's why he holds the calibration of his grandmother's death I am not saying what he did was write and if this is fake then props for telling a satisfying revenge story. If I was OP in the first story I would have planned a way to free my sister. OP should have asked his sister to hold on for just a couple more years until he could support her. Obviously I am not in her situation and that may have been too much to ask of her. But giving her some hope by setting a date to the end of her misery may have helped. I would have saved every penny and broke her out of there asap. Living on almost nothing but still being free of that torture would be a huge step up from how she was living. I guess I am just surprised that he was able to strategically plan and follow through will a murder but didn't use that motivation to strategically plan an escape for his sister.
