Why did she settle for $50k? That's too low considering that she could basically have had the company file for bankruptcy had the battle continued into court.
@KenMabie5 жыл бұрын
so for 18 years she got revenge on bitch boss at her new company .. so it probably happens at least 18 years ago probably longer back the 50k was worth more than it is now .. and wholly fuck do i feel old saying that .. but it's true .. that's what inflation is (its literally devaluing the value of a dollar) so this probably happened in the 90s when all this stuff was pretty new .. remember the laws about sexual harassment didn't really start until the late 80s and in the 90s women were finally starting to stand up for themselves in the workplace.. back then $50k was a good payout .. and there probably weren't many suits or settlements before that so no real standard to go by .. so where $50K today will get you 2 good mid level cars back then it would get you 2 S class super cars.. example .. the house i spent me teen years in .. my family bought it in 1991 for $200k it was recently sold for around $500k in 2015 (give or take a few years cant remember the exact date it was sold) look it up on Zillow it was 9 David Dr Thornton PA .. that will tell you the exact amounts and dates.. .. but as you can see a little over 20 years later and the price more than doubled ..

I agree, Bitchboss wasn't the only one doing the bullying, and it went on for an unacceptably long time. People other than Bitchboss could continue to be jerks, and that's what scares me, because they have the power. I read about a case in the UK that happened a while ago: A mans daughter was walking home one day when a bad driver (possibly drunk) had hit her with his truck and killed her. The family took him to court but he got off almost scot free. The man who killed her proceeded to vandalise and trash the daughters grave every day, whilst harassing the family of the victim over her death. The father, so outraged by this miscarriage of justice, followed the man to his home and shot him twice with a shotgun. The father went to court charged with attempted murder (The scumbag drunk driver having survived the shooting), where a sobbing Jury cleared him of all charges. The father had 100% attempted to kill the guy, but the jury having heard the story just decided "F*** it, the monster deserved it".

I loved the tech company story, the one with the jerkboss and the EEOC. I thought both the CEO and jerkboss got what they deserved. The murder story, well, what can I say. It sounds like jerk step father deliberately lied to encourage step son to join the army, knowing the poor kid would end up in Iraq. So, I feel that step dad was morally guilty of setting up his stepson to be killed or injured in Iraq (I was closely following casualties in Iraq when the war was started by Bush/Cheney, they were very bad and that admin was pushing the idea of restarting the draft). In other words, though untouchable by law, step dad morally commited murder. The evilness of what the step dad did is mind bending. While I cannot recommend killing other people, rough justice was served. As for the ex wife, something was off about her. Why did she let her son be talked into joining the army during a terrible war? Wtf. Iraq is still a god awful mess.

@@archgirl Well tbh when reading his comment you have to make some assumption, and people can mishear things so its not unreasonable to think that when rslash said apocalyptic on his on terms, that firstname lastname misheard it for apoplectic, especially considering apoplectic was used in the later story as you mentioned. firstname lastname never referred to where this 'apoplectic' was in the video, so the only two assumptions there could possibly be was mishearing the apocalyptic for apoplectic and that is it was a word rslash used on his own account, or that he was referring to the time where the redditor used apoplectic in their story and rslash read it. Sometimes people feel like they have nothing to lose, the man lost his son, and lost all control, he was clearly not that bad of a person, short on temper probably, but considering how he behaved well in prison and got 7 years earlier then he was supposed to really shows what people do when they dont think straight

Dark mode does not really help as your fucking monitor still bombards you with the same amount of blue light as it would if the picture was white, it only helps if you make the monitor emit more warm colours which reduces blue light still not ideal, the ideal solution is to use QLED, OLED or Plasma screen technologies that emit next to no blue light that are harmful.

You should do both nuclear and pro revenge. The mix you have going on is great! Keeps the channel interesting and entertaining.

In context of the story, it was 20 years ago, and she had only worked at the company for a year. Pretty reasonable payout, tbh.
@daltonmiller55905 жыл бұрын
I'm really bad with money, but I would imagine that with all that illegal shit they pulled on her, she should have requested like 1 million or something. That would equate to roughly $600,000 or something back in the 90's due to inflation. How much money do you guys think she should have gotten?
@Elinzar5 жыл бұрын
@@Reaver34567 well with some inflation I guess she got quite a bit still the amount of shit in so short time she got was in another level

Ngl. Prison doesn’t even sound bad after the first guy, he was just like ‘oh and I went to 20 yrs prison but I was good so 13 years’ 🤨

Well he did shoot someone in the face for vengeance of his son so I think most prisoners would respect him

I guess it wouldn't be so bad when you have nothing to live for. 💔 My heart breaks for that man.
@kirvesarcheage22353 жыл бұрын
Based on what he went in for I doubt too many people fucked with him. He did what he did for his family and a lot of people in there can probably relate and wouldnt have an issue with it so as long as he wasnt an ass when he was in there they'd probably just leave him alone
@faruqueahmad92465 жыл бұрын
He got shot in the face twice and survived for a week! That kind of strength shouldn't be with a guy who put someones son in the ground.

RSLASH I love your videos, I usually have them playing in the background while I'm gaming, even if I've already heard them once or twice already. But that mom in the first story allowed her son to be alienated from his biological father. If she would have allowed the proper visitation with his dad, his knowledge and experience could have been the tipping point that kept the kid from enlisting. So IMO, she's not an innocent victim and she deserved to watch everything she loved go up in flames. Just like OP had to... The only truly innocent victims are the three kids.
