@@KonekoPurrrfection The Affordable Care Act mandates that health insurance companies are required to provide certain levels of coverage with every plan. When it was first implemented, it required Americans to carry health insurance just like they carry car insurance. However, as of 2019, health insurance is no longer required at the federal level. Some states may still require it, so it’s important to check what the current mandate is based on where you live. Therefore... objectively incorrect.

Penultimate story: As someone who was also horrifically bullied throughout my school years, I am absolutely delighted that OP got some glorious, justified revenge on one of her tormentors. That is something that I’m sure every bullied kid wishes would happen for all of us. I, unfortunately, had the exact opposite happen to me. I developed depression and severe anxiety whilst I was at college, due to my self esteem being in tatters from years of bullying. After an extremely long waiting list (I live in the UK with our massively underfunded NHS) I was finally seeing a psychiatrist at my local hospital. One day I arrived for my appointment only for the doctor to introduce me to a medical student who would be sitting in on my session. I was completely mortified. There standing before me, with a smirk on her face, was one of my school bullies! I was in shock. I quickly informed the doctor that no, I was *not* ok with this, giving my reason. The bully totally denied that she knew me, even though my mother and her mom had been friends. (Both her mom and dad were frightened of their daughter - she bullied them too!) Anyway, thankfully the doctor asked her to leave, and although he was really apologetic to me and did believe me, the damage was already done. He had been going over my private medical case notes with her before my appointment began, so she had plenty of ammunition to spread to everyone who she was still in contact with from our old school about my mental health. I had to cut myself off from everybody I ever knew from school after that. It terrified me then, and still does, that she - a horrible, sadistic bully, who despised anyone she considered to be weak - was training to become a doctor, possibly specialising in mental health. I know some people can change…not her. I don’t say this lightly, but she’s the only person I’ve ever met in life who I would actually consider to be evil. Even know, all these years later, I wonder how many lives of vulnerable patients she has ruined. She wasn’t just unpleasant, she seriously had some sort of personality disorder, maybe borderline or sociopathic PD. I just hope she didn’t qualify as a psychiatrist or psychologist; she would be merciless with the mentally ill, and delight in their suffering.

What I wanna know is how the ice cream bully thought she was gonna get away with that? Even if OP didn’t catch her in the act and had actually fallen for the trick, she would’ve either died or gotten severely sick to the point of hospitalization. Which would naturally spark an investigation into what had happened, leading to the police seeing camera footage of her ice cream being blatantly tampered with. One thing will lead to another, they'll figure out she goes to the same school as OP so she definitely knows who she is, they'll discover through teachers, students, or cameras about her abusive behavior, and determine that the sabotage was absolutely intentional, leading to her getting an even worse punishment than she received via OP ratting her out. Unless she was just hoping the police would be absolutely terrible at their job.

That first story, if she lives in a no-fault divorce state, she really does hold all the cards. Stay married on paper for the money, then go out and date someone else on the husband's dime. I mean I would. The second one, I guarantee that was an only child who was constantly praised for being smart. It always creates children like that. Hah #5 reminds me of a conversation I had with some cops once. The next door neighbor's kid was a real jackwagon, and one evening something compelled me to shoot his bedroom window out with a BB gun from my bedroom window. I timed it perfect, the screen was open a crack. After a few quick shots the window finally shattered (the first two surprisingly just punched clean through without cracking it), I slid the screen closed, then the window, then the blinds. The light came on, they looked out, no one was there, all the lights were off in my room. Kinda wondered why the husband wanted a divorce in the first place too, like maybe OP is one of those people that are so negative they drain everyone around them, and the husband finally had enough, maybe he wanted to divorce her long ago, but she threatened to take the kids, so he had to wait until they were all legal adults. Divorces happen, and people fall out of love, but it seems incredibly petty to hold something like medical insurance over someone's head because they no longer want a romantic relationship with you. She didn't mention infidelity on his part, so it probably wasn't that.
@RWAsur

@@littlepip4014 " like medical insurance over someone's head because they no longer want a romantic relationship with you." How is it holding it over his head? He wanted a divorce, he can still get the divorce, he just would have to pay double or more for health insurance. Meanwhile, OP can't get remarried at the cost of getting a small paycheck every month to give HIM health insurance. OP is doing him a favor, it's not holding medical insurance over him. You can say that literally of a system like that (American healthcare, probably) but not the person *literally giving you health insurance.* She could charge him 80% of the cost if she wanted to and really stick it to him. She is making a sacrifice in the end, so if its mutually beneficial, then oh well. The only weird thing here is to brag about it on malicious compliance, like babe you're doing your ex-husband something a lot of wives would not offer their exes after getting dropped like a rock. He played himself if health care was a sticking point, there's nothing malicious about it at all.

Well after she found out I was pregnant she got so pissed. When we found out I was having a girl (I did a gender blood test) I was super excited to use the name I've loved since I was 14. My little girls name is going to be Lilith. The ex friend found out from her boyfriend and was pissed because it was too close to Lily and I'm doing it on purpose. She then told people she wished nothing but the worst for me for using the name I've loved since my early teens. This ex friend also found out she was pregnant but she ended up losing the baby, which is sad, but I feel like it's karma for wishing the worst on me and my baby for using a name I've mentioned to her numerous times. Ftm trans guy here, and before I tell you this, I live in a very transphobic area of England. So me and my buddy (he's also ftm) were drinking at a local pub celebrating the fact that his brain tumour was fully gone, when he needed to go loo so he went and used the mens ofc. 10 mins later this old man pulled him out of the bathroom by his ear screaming "why the hell is this confused girl in my toilets" my mate replied in a squeal "sir I told you don't have a dick bc it got removed from my cancer treatments!" People stare. My mate removed his wig revealing a nicely bold head (which has a scar brain surgery but idk if anyone noticed it) and pulled his sleeve up to show the bruises from the IV he had in hospital. The bouncer removed the old guy and banned him. My mate got about 5 free pints before we called it a night. (I was drinking strawberry gin and lemonade and Im a lightweight so 4 drinks in and I was gone). Anyways that story about the trans dad reminded me of this one and I thought id share.

I think that guy Ben Shapiro (trans- homo- everything phobe) moved to TX fairly recently. Wonder how many times he’s been accused? I don’t get why people can’t mind their own business. Plus I thought men don’t even acknowledge each other’s existence in public restrooms as a rule lol

i think maybe cause he used the stall instead of the urinal? but like, seriously, how would the transphobe know in the first place. honestly, if i was there i'd say something about the potential gay peeping tom. which is maybe why the transphobe got kicked out instead.

If this first story wasn’t in r/petty revenge and literally somewhere else it would be viewed a lot more negatively. It’s literally financial abuse. It’s domestic violence. She’s basically blackmailing him with his livelihood to stay with her legally. It’s really fucked.

We also don't know why he wanted to split with her in the first place. There are plenty of stories of couples drifting apart and often times because one of them either turned out to be an absolutely terrible person or just slowly became one over time. Naturally, if this was the case, she didn't and wouldn't have stated as much. I'm guessing she specified how long they'd been together because that would imply that nothing significant had changed from the point of their marriage to the point of the separation, as any red flags should've been discovered before that point. Maybe the husband was an asshole and just decided fuck her, but I also can't help but feel like she isn't telling us everything.

Yeah, exactly. Financial abuse IS domestic violence and $400 a month isn't exactly cheap for a lot of people. I'd love to hear his side of the story, because her side is already pretty tarnished.

Be for real, she's charging him for the insurance because once you've separated from your spouse you don't get to reap the benefits of being a spouse, like free insurance. OP even said that what she's charging her ex for insurance is less then half of what her ex would be paying an insurance company.

@@crazyinsane500 I can't really tell what point you're trying to make. I'm suggesting that it's entirely possible that he could be leaving her because she was becoming a terrible person or did something horrible and she simply isn't acknowledging it in her post. Are you saying that's not a possibility or are you saying you thought I was saying that's not a possibility? If you're being sarcastic, I can't tell. I'm a bit tone deaf for text.
