Whether some of thee R rated movies could make it to Disney Plus, or whether they were horror, comedy, action, adventure, drama, it doesn't matter if they were the best or worst, some parents really did not allow their youths to watch these things back in the day. Find out what movies Korey was watching that got such a reaction, and tell us what are some of your favorite R Rated movies in the comments as well!

i watched Terminator 1 and Terminator 2 when i was like 8 via VHS...introduced by my dad. Mum didn't mind because she thought it was just a mindless saturday morning cartoon movie featuring robots.. LMAO.

An American Werewolf in London is a classic. Even though I am more of a fan of bipedal werewolf designs over werewolves that walk on four legs since it better embodies the man side to the monster (with werewolves being almost a split of man and monster, I think that is more fitting to have something that stands like a human but looks and behaves like something else), it is good to have variety. Werewolves do not have to all look or move the same. Even though An American Werewolf in London is a classic, one thing I kept thinking about is that there can be a case made that there was actually no werewolf in the movie. I know that may sound crazy, but it's just something I started to wonder about when watching it for like the fourth time. What if the guy is suffering from lycanthropy (the medical condition), and we are seeing the movie from his perspective? Four things that made me think that was how easily/quickly the "werewolves" got put down (one was ended with a single shot), silver (an extremely common weakness to werewolves) was not involved, how quickly a werewolf would turn back into a human after being killed, and how the nurse talked to him at the very end before police ended him. The nurse spoke to him almost like a patient that she was trying to talk down. If there really was a giant four-legged monster in front of her, would she really be trying to talk to him like that? Say he actually was a werewolf. She never saw him transformed before. How would she know it was him? Since he would have been turned by another werewolf since he was attacked, there were obviously others out there.

That’s a good theory, with a lot of sound evidence to back it up. Just one issue. The unarmed, adult human male does not have the physical attributes to inflict the level of damage depicted in this movie. Also, if the creature had been bipedal and more anthropomorphic in build, it’d have been a wolf man and not a werewolf. Might sound like a nitpick, but there is a difference.
@Mister_Cool
@Mister_Cool 2 жыл бұрын
@@DetroitAlan01 I think we would be surprised what an adult human male can do, especially when exhibiting hysterical strength brought on by some sort of extreme mental state. There are stories like the guy that took bath salts and chewed off another guy's face. I have never heard of the distinction between a wolfman and a werewolf before, especially the distinction being one is on two legs while the other is on four. When I looked it up, the only thing I saw hinting at a difference was this: The difference between wolfman and werewolf is that wolfman is a werewolf or lycanthrope while werewolf is a person who is transformed or can transform into a wolf or a wolflike human, often said to transform during a full moon.

😆😂🤣I feel you. We went through the same damn thing, but it was my father that allowed us to watch ANYTHING with the threat that we better not tell my mother! That's funny too. My father took me & my cousin to see *Purple Rain* and at that sex scene he yelled out "Yeeeaaah" then nudged us both and said "What y'all know bout that!?" with a huge ass grin on his face. First time I got in trouble was after he took me & my brother to see *Porky's* and I thought "Tallywhacker" was the funniest thing and kept saying it, my mother popped my mouth. My mother's best reaction is when she walked in on us watching *Silence Of The Lambs* and it was the scene when Bill is asking "would you 'fk me?" She immediately started going off. When he tucked though. . .the country in her blasted out!!! She yelled "OH HELL NAW!! What is this shit!? Turn this freaky ass shit off! You damn well know y'all don't need to be watching this crazy ass shit! Tucking his pecker talking bout would you f'k me. And Jim (my father) you should be damn sho shamed of yourself in here with them enjoying this crazy ass movie!" All my father, my brother and me could do was laugh our asses off! At the time I was 17/18, my brother was 24/25 and she was going off like we were still little. Funniest my mother ever was!

My father would let me watch rated-R action films. Only because we both loved action films. My mom wasn't too mad. I wasn't warped by the things I saw. But I was amazed at what these films got away with.

I was too much of a wimp for horror movies when I was a kid. In fact the first horror movie I watched willingly, on my own, was Bride of Chucky. It was just lying around the house, and I was like "well, I've seen everything else. I'll give it a shot." Most of it went by and I was like "well that wasn't so bad..." Then that final scene came up before the end credits. My cousins would try to get me into horror but I would always wmp out. Fucked me up for a while

LOL!!! Damn, Korey! My parents kind of allowed me to watch R-Rated movies when I was a child. Though, they did watch most of them with me. I don't remember which R-rated movie was my first. But, the earliest R-rated movies that I remember seeing were "Speed", "Poetic Justice", "Interview with the Vampire", and "Coming to America" when I was either 4 or 5 years old.

I remember the first Rated R movie I’ve seen as a kid was Kill Bill Vol. 1. I was probably 8 years old and living with my cousins in the Philippines at the time, my uncle brought the movie home and everybody watched it. I wasn’t phased at all, but I got a good laugh when Ume Thurman sliced Lucy Liu’s brain off

I had a similar experience when I was a kid, only my parents were divorced. I remember having a heated argument with my dad after I went to see an "R" rated movie at the movie theater. He was upset at me because I saw an "R" rating movie and I wasn't 18-years old. I was 17 years old and had to explain that was the legal age to watch an "R" rated movie. Needlessly, he refused to believe me.

The DT’s should review AAWiL. It’s one of the rare horror movies to get 4 stars. Over 40 years after its release, it, not only still holds up, but puts most contemporary horror films to shame. Not a cult classic. Just a classic. Period.
