im practicing his hands methods and everything, still trying to get the way he does faces down perfect. very close though. i just wanna know how he gets published as well. so far im mostly good at illustration work, but i want to create the manga i wrote a small story for. need to practice this a few times, these references help me

I would recommend learn anatomy from a figure drawing books-the best books I recommend and I use is Michael Hampton's (figure drawing design and invention) and you can also read bridgeman's constructive anatomy books those will help you a lot and don't just completely depend upon those books watch drawing channels like proko,alphonsodunn etc.And practice them don't copy from Yoshitomi-sensei's video he draws it perfectly he has a good knowledge of the human anatomy.And get better at the basics first otherwise you work will be one step behind to the professional works.Hope this helps you.

@@Atulithpostsandvids you're right. But everyone watching yoshitomi sensei's channel should know that he draws in a simplified manga style and same for the tutorials. Obviously beginners will have difficulties in some areas if they start here. First learning to draw the basic 3d shapes then identifying and drawing the skeleton and muscle groups *then* simplify the figure. It is also important to keep in mind why you are learning anatomy. Don't simply memorize the muscles and bones. Try to learn what shape they form in different movements how they work and interact with other. After that you can form you style by drawing the things you like from your favorite sources for example- your favorite artists' pieces, animes, manga, comics, cartoons, animated movies etc. All this has to be done sequentially otherwise you'll have to go back on filling the left out parts at some point. Its super important to have references right by the hand all through the learning process if not later too. Because you can't draw anything on a professional level if you've never seen anything on a professional level - ethan becker

Case in short,find your own visual cues and reference points for acuraccy reasons.For example,Rajya may or may not start from the head and down but actually start from the chest/ribcage area since that is the center of gravity,then to the legs then finally the head.*Your* point of reference isnt gonna be the same as I or maybe it will.But the big thing is here is to always flip your images to spot flaws.The anatomy while is good to know isnt as important as the reference points from the inner bones which translates into the variety of "styles" that are in existence.So what you wanna do is know where an humans bone is on a face,place a dot and draw OUT from it to see what you can come up with thats helps you create.So get to know the bones of anatomy that you can remember and wanna reference in your habits for the rest of the body as well.The worlds best do it.
