Best connector practices: The torque wrench starts to bend at the rated torque spec. Continuing to tighten until the torque wrench “snaps” will exceed the rated torque spec and then may loosen the connector below the torque spec as it recoils. For consistent torque mates and to avoid damage, stop tightening the wrench as soon as it STARTS to bend.

Can we leave the port open in the air instead of using the kit for Open calibration when we are performing SOLT calibration?

Hello If we wanted to measure S21 (fase), and we use cal kit: Is correct that after calibrating, with the thru connector still connected the measurement is a negative value? I mean, measuring S21(fase) after calibration. Thanks

Dear Augusto352, Thank you very much for your question. We may need a result screen shot to evaluate the measurement please. Please include the which standard was used Please send the details to customersupport@rohde-schwarz.com stating RS# 547562 Rohde & Schwarz Social Media Team

Interesting question: I'm not so lucky to own/operate such an instrument like this, but , testing a calibration kit once it was used for a calibration , shouldn't it measure 0 Magnitude and 0 phase for all sweeped spectrum ? Thank you

sir, what is significance of plots that used to display while calibration ???

Dear Rohit Apurva: Thank you very much for your question The network analysers display the results taken while calibration so you can see the results and check the significance (plausibility) and you can see the activity (if the measurements takes longer in case the parameters set allow a slow measurement only) If you have more questions please use RS# 528078 when posting your question to customersupport@rohde-Schwarz.comBest regards,Rohde & Schwarz Social Media Team

Thank you sir for your reply. my question is regarding phase and magnitude plot that display while calibration. while doing calibration, plots are changes with time.

The display (while calibrating) display the data taken while calibration. If the data is very wrong (may be due to a broken cable) you can easily determine the source of the Problem.
