Wow. When she was firing on all cylinders - as she was on this occasion - Voigt was an incredibly impressive and exciting singer. Of course, her move into roles like Salome and Brunnhilde shortened her career- without a doubt- but when you listen to a performance like this, I'm glad that she took the plunge.
