Looking at food reviews from travelers, this is a common complaint about japanese fast food fries. I wonder why? Oddly enough, there are no complaints about japanese fries from family restaurants (saize, etc) and from japanese eateries, only praise. Is this a fast food chain problem?

I did some research and it seems that many Japanese travelers say that McDonald's fries in North America are too crispy. I do think Japanese potatoes are softer. If fries exist from rare to well-done, Japanese fries are definitely rare, and I have a feeling that Japanese customers do not like crispy fries. Perhaps it is not because of whether it tastes good or bad, but because of the discomfort? With McDonald's fries, people expect the same quality anywhere in the world, so the difference in texture is a concern. It is normal for restaurants to have different recipes for different places. If you focus only on the taste, it's potatoes. That can't be a disappointment. Well, that's my hypothesis.I'll leave it up to you to decide if you support it.
