Röyksopp "...and The Forest Began To Sing" video competition winner

The winner though for us is MikeAmin. From all the entries he seemed to be one of the only ones that had paid attention to the band's thoughts on the album and if you like in this case the brief. His graphic, hypnotic spiral works well with the music and the opening helped set out the story of the album and for us answered the brief; 'the moment of anticipation'; 'gearing up'; like the protagonist had opened a case of drugs'. His choice of images was good and thoughtful -- even ending the piece with a 'Bug', something our friends at the BFI will surely pick up on.

There's so many layers to this song. A psychedelic trip that fills you with wonder and amazement, an ambient tune that fills you with tranquility, an emotional ride that carries you higher and higher towards happiness till the end. Its inner peace embodied in a song.

actually i dont think so, pretty much everyone else interpreted this track in a very different way that had a similar theme(very different to this one). what they may have intended this song to mean was not what everyone who felt strongly about the song felt. there were some really good videos for this song entered that actually had meaning and a narrative thread. this wasnt one of them imo
