Pain has a way of weeding out other distractions and if all these things have happened back to back then this is for a extreme better outcome. The Devine or super conscious, higher self whatever you view as a god force knows you at your greatest extents and your lowest lows. * it sends challenges into our lives disguised as problem for us to ultimately learn some fundamental lesson from so we can with this lesson grow beyond what we see currently see ourselves as for the benefit of all who can understand that the extreme of these challenges, your being VERY extreme are sent that way because it knows your full potential of what your strengths can under go on a personal level. In other words, if your personal strength was poor you would receive a small amount of discomfort. But if the opposite then you receive a great deal of pain. **You are stronger then you can EVER consciously comprehend. You need to see this. It seems weird that such a trippy video is not even about drugs, meditation or some religious experience. Robyn described this song as being "about death", "defining who you are" and "a physical sensation of an emotion," inspired by the Juliana Cerqueira Leite clay sculptures she saw at London's Saatchi Gallery. The song's music clip was directed by Robyn's frequent collaborator Max Vitali. The director explained that the video is about, "exploring the space around you and finding your own space in it all."

The monument is your body. If you just listen to the words ( because this type of beat is meant to hypnotize you) she is being spoken through by the force. It is declaring her body as it's territory. It's serious, guys.

Evolution of pop is different in all countries. In the 2000's when pop went more rnb in the US, it went more indie in Sweden with bands like The Knife, Kent, The tough alliance, the hives, håkan hellström, broder daniel, Robyn etc
@PersonalityMalfunction3 жыл бұрын
@@davidLAMF I’ve heard of Kent and The Knife, not the others. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Robyn was a pop singer long before she collaborated with Royksopp, wasn’t she? Sweden has always produced successful pop, and also death metal. Wasn’t aware if the indie scene at all.
@davidLAMF3 жыл бұрын
@@PersonalityMalfunction Yes when she dropped her first album I think she was 16, but she is still considered a pop star, at least here. I think maybe our view of what it means to be a pop artist is different. It is not considered negative to be a pop artist. Indie scene here was huge, at least in 2000's when it was a thing in UK too, which of course influenced Sweden. Karin from the knife started out in a more indie rock kind of band called Honey Is Cool (not very good IMO). The Concretes, Lykke Li, Mando Diao, The Radio Dept, could argue The Cardigans played indie rock. At some point electronic indie started taking over. Though I'm getting older so I'm not staying as up to date as back in the day :)
@PersonalityMalfunction3 жыл бұрын
@@davidLAMF Tell me about it, brother, I spent my miss spent youth listening to DAF, Kraftwerk, Nitzer Ebb and Front 242. I don’t think the label of pop star is in itself negative. I myself have found Britney Spears and Katy Perry soothing in my old age! Just the usual poserism of wanting to be seen as being on the fringe! I’ve heard of Lykke Li and of course the Cardigans, but the other bands you mention are completely foreign to me. Going for a KZbin dive!

In my humble opinion, I feel the video perfectly depicts the fragility and vulnerability which Robyn's voice carries through the song. Robyn's face in this video looks to me a lot like David Bowie's. I don't know if that's intentional. But I like the style. The moment when Thorbjørn gives that oh so little smile touched my heart. The song is great. It's inevitably progressing, striding, pumping, it has certain stages, it's rich in sound. I love the autotuned oh-oh-oh-oh after the word 'gone'. It's a song that will last. I find the whole piece exceptionally emotional and i love the song a lot. These are just some thoughts and feelings that i have about the song and the video. I hope you don't mind that they lack interconnection. @Robyn, please tell us the words you said between the audible parts, in the beginning. Seeing your mouth move without hearing the words made me so curious. Would you please take the time and tell me?
