I just recently started making holsters, I have so many personal holsters now because I keep the ones that don't look good but work. I have way to many hopefully I get better before I drown in holsters

Any chance of getting some specs for your press set up? Having a hard time coming up with a design for a press

Just 2x4s and plywood. Created the curve by trimming down the 2x4s and fastening them to the plywood, then but hinges on to make it easier to work with.

So is the center of the hip curve a full thickness 2x4 just not as wide?

That’s a pretty decent setup you have there. Some things I would change: 1. Double up the plywood top press. 2. Heat the Kydex to 320 F. Sometimes it helps to preheat the oven to a higher temp, then turn the oven setting down to do this. 3. Use a tee shirt press instead of toaster ovens. Once you try it, you just don’t go back. It is amazing how high you can push the temperature of the Kydex sheet in a tee shirt press.

Sorry for the late comment on a older video, but I have to ask, would you tape up your real pistol? Or just the trainer? I have to 1911 that have a very beautiful coating from the factory that I like to preserve and a Sig p320, any tips?

Hi! Can you please tell me what kinf of blue duct tape you use? Thanks a lot!
@TheSuburban155 жыл бұрын
I think it's painters tape. I have used regular masking tape several times. Consider using HVAC foil tape if you have a rail with notches to cover up.
