I’m sorry Gary but you are wrong. If you look the socket is on a plastic containment system ( upvc conduit). Parallel path? I don’t think so! Mind you the vids are there for you guys to learn from and it’s nice that you are watching them, I hope they help you. Best regards, Chris

Why would parallel paths matter, he's measuring from live to the earth bar, it doesn't matter that there are parallel paths to ground. If he took out that radials CPC from the earth bar and just measured the CPC to live, the R1 + R2 would be the same.

Chriskitcher please can you help me understand something you mention quite a lot. You say readings should be with in .05 - so does that mean + .05 AND - .05 either side of the reading? Do you know what I mean? Because then you have a tolerance of -.05 and +.05 which is 10 decimal place isn't it and therefore not .05!!! See what I mean!!?? I'm really confused! I hope you see this and explain! Many thanks in advance, tony

I hope you are not sarcastic with your question, resistance cannot be negative. when you see the megger in this video that indicates 0 and nothing below that.

No what he means if you have .1 can you be .05 either side of that figure.

Think it refers to the tolerance either side of the calculated value. Calculate the readings you would expect for the length of cable then when you test you can be .05 above or below the value your expecting.
