R1250GSA: Installing a 65 Liter Pillion Box

Installing a box on the back of the GSA. Need something until I figure out what I really want. Here's the info incase you may want one.

Did you try it also with side panniers? Do the lids open?

With this top box, the BMW side panniers cannot open all the way. This top box is huge and sticks out too far to have the side panniers from BMW. I ended up buying the BMW top box as well and then mounted this box in the front of my trailer to hold the trailer wheel chocks and trailer locks. If you are not going to use side pannier boxes, this is a great box.

I am looking in buying the same top box. Are you satisfied? Did you notice any difference in the handling of the motorcycle in high speeds? Thank you

It’s a good box and it can carry 2 full face helmets. As for high speeds… I rarely ever go above 90 mph. I cruise at 75-80 mph and never noticed any wind drag although a little drop in mpg. Maybe 3-5 mpg less than with no boxes. But it holds a lot of stuff. I put small cardboard boxes in it to keep stuff from shifting around and have had no issues with it. Hope this helps!
