How many rolling stocks on the NY Subway have full width motorman's cabs? Is it just the newer ones? From what I have seen, most have those little 1/3 width cabs. The main reason I ask is that I used to drive trains on the London Underground, and all stocks have full width cabs with good visibility and total privacy from the passengers.

I was vacationing in New York City that day too. I visited the Empire State Building that day. I did ride some 5 trains on that trip, but they had Alstom propulsion.

@@epicrapbattlesofhistorymrbeas It was in 2016. A few R143s were put on the J on occasion. I saw a blonde woman puke on it as we were crossing the Williamsburg Bridge. It stunk up the train car as we were riding from Marcy Ave to Myrtle Ave, so I had to change train cars when I got to Myrtle Ave.

The R142 max speed is 55mph while the R142A max speed is 80mph. If I were to divide these trains: - R62 - R62A - R142 - R142A - R188 I would do as follows: (1) R62A (2) R142A (3) R62 (4) R62A (5) R142A (6) R142 (7) R188

You might not get it, the trains on the 4, 6, and 7 trains sound like this, they are called r142a's, r142a's from the 4 line, are running on the 5 line because on construction. Get it?
