Manual Carchi Not happening, because if the 5 train needed to go to Flatbush Avenue on the weekends, like it was when Sandy repair work was done in the Clark Street Tunnel for 52 weekends, which required the 2 line to terminate at South Ferry, it will use its regular batch of R142s with the combined 2/5 strip maps, not the R142As with the 4 train strip maps.

This was a weekend service, the 5 was scheduled to go to Utica that day. It could've had R62 or R142 and it still would've went to Utica. R142a 5 doesn't happen randomly.

Channel Is Going Through Unification And if they’re going to change car assignments, they also have to include the 5 line in it or vice-Versa. Also they got new strip maps to display both lines so they also have to include that when doing permanent car swaps.
