This tournament was amazing from qualifiers all the way through to the final. Thanks to all of the players for taking part & putting on an amazing show, & to R1ps & Destroyer for their work behind the scenes. Can I suggest next time that rather than randomise the match-ups, R1ps & Destroyer choose who each player matches up with, in the same way as the Ryder Cup in golf. @@Hagh12375 just to put it into perspective. The community donated so much money for this event that the players get paid 250 euro for two ft3 sets. That’s approx 750 euro / hour for playing mk in a free to enter event from home.

What an event 🤩 absolutely loved it, loved the energy, high quality gameplay, drama. Really really entertaining! Kudos to @R1ps_Arena and Destroyer for putting this together. And to all those moaning about Top NA players not showing up. Lets give some credit to those who actually showed up and put the time and effort in to compete in this event. Finally the time has come we have been waiting for so long. Im writing as i watch plus idk who is on NA team. Match1: Holy shet i cant believe roethor, dude is insane when the man is locked in nothing can stop him. Its sad i had to root against mari. Match2: i trust in Javier's gameplan it might be lame but its super effective. Beancel has the classic sindel gameplay. Its consistent but predictable and javi takes advantage of that winning the game. Match3: COME ON MY BROTHRR FIREAXE YOU CAN DO IT. From the start its apparent that fireaxe has some stress he has uncharacteristic drops and whiffs. Somehow dyloch drops some as well even though i think he has more experience. Dyloch is just better at finding opening and mixing here. Ultimately this goes to dyloch but fireaxe made a strong appearance. Match4: I trust in Faysal. Six has very strong defense against any other player this would be a problem but faysals homie is a swiss army knife he does open him up eventually and gets this. Match5: Noooo i have to root against honeybee? Well lets go Val. Our original sindel tremor is making an amazing appearance as always, even though comeback of the day goes to honeybee. Ultimately val is a class above most other sindels cause of his adaptability and approach. Another EU win. Match6: Well i believe in kanimani but things start awefully rough. Its a steamroll vs steamroll situation depending on who gets his mojo going i got some minor heart attacks cause i though kani would have an easier time but hourglass of rain really put him through the wringer, thank god we won that one. Match7: Well a low tier versu top 3 wont bide well in the MK1 setting but still figg gives a pretty good showing if the characters where better balanced he would sure fair much better. Match8: Damn Na has blachary....blach starts strong with the solid gameplan but yuvility gets rolling afterwards. This was pretty tight but at thid point EU had already won so it was just extra flexing. 6-2 not bad for Eu but honestly worse than i expected XD.

NA really need to step up so it's not just Dyloch & Hourglass carrying them (Dyloch bagging mid-combo was hilarious & Hourglass is a straight-up killer). Should also say that Onlinecale was in beastmode! Even without their big names, who apparently think they're too good for this (Ninja, Fox, Rewind etc.), there are amazing NA players like Justnasty, Kinggambler, etc., who regularly play in R1ps Arena but didn't show for this event. Get involved NA!

It would be dope if these 8v8 were ran like how smash does it… Player 1 vs player 2 first to 3 .. Player 1 wins 3 - 2 and stays on the controller.. Player 1 vs player 3 but player 1 is down two games meaning that player 3 only has to win one set to take player 1 out Repeat until the end of the tournament Probably has been ran like this before and it’ll be more work for the TOs but that’d be dope

That statement is actually factually wrong. Believe it or not, we have the biggest NA Playerbase out there, even though we are a NON-NA Based Event. I think it's weird when people always display it so one sided, as if our "EU" players don't suffer the same way connection wise, when they face NA-Players. The difference is that all of our "Pros/Big Names" know that they support the entire competitive scene and help the community thrive by joining these events & they show up just for the love of competing. I hope to see something similiar for the American side one day aswell. What I hear from other Tournament Organisers is, that they can barely even get NA players for their NA-Exclusive events. I think everyone who watches this knows, that this is not supposed to be an "offline-like" Battle. We do this to entertain the community and to grow the franchise. We opened our Events to NA Players, because THEY wanted to join us, because of the prizepool and size of the tournaments.

Not his fault. Na players are too Hollywood. Eu players are more competitive imo. They grind almost everyday in rips tourney. Na players not so much. Destroyer tried getting some heavy hitters and no one gave him the strength. The fact rips have kani and faysal made this battle almost impossible for Na. We needed kombat and rewind. I won't even say ninja because he wasn't gonna give destroyer that strength.
