Great show Chad as usual. A new DC1 arrived today. Thanks for all the great info on this chassis. Looking forward to more great vids! Thanks!

I sure wish everyone could get the tire. It’s just such a difference maker. I’m enjoying the dc1 after getting these bugs worked out. 2 good nights in a row. Hope tonight goes well after making these suspension changes.

Voodoo is barley keeping quality control up with the little amount they put out already any more and they will have to sub out to proline or power hobby cuz they are not what they used to be either my car has way to much torque or there’s seriously something wrong my golds and reds have broken belts now
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
Things are crumbling under our power. I moved to 500k diff fluid to help a spin situation which ripped a silver to shreds

@@Dorkyand40 your on to something because when I was running my 3.0 setup tires lasted couple rounds ever since I went 2.5 and then the castle wurks car I’ve gotten ripped foam or broken belts on air tires conditioned reaction blues seem to be holding up did 2 1.8 passes last night and they seem fine but they are on Ssd headlocks and they weigh a ton maybe that helped idk
@rogergill40742 жыл бұрын
@@nolimitrc1 I get what you are saying. The tires need to be quality. I have been running the Cyrul eXcelerate tires. His first tires had some issues with belts I had some belt failures. I am running his updated V4 belted tires with success. These tires are a good option and the quality is there. I’m not trying to sell tires for him I’m just throwing that out there. We all need quality tires that hold up to the power that is being put down.

Question so what worked better for you the 80w. On shock or the lower . And is usint same wt oil on all shocks better than usint diferent in front than the rear
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
Still testing. Seems like lower weight oil works better in these little shocks though. Too heavy and they become slow cause there’s so much less volume

On an off topic. Do you think the motor, either mid or rear, produces torque steer to the right ? Thanks. 7:24 Do you set both spring collars the same distance or do you care more about corner weight and set them at different heights ?
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
I gave up on scales. I set the collars to the same height and then do a test run at a low epa and make an adjustment. its always been close and just a turn or 2 on one in what direction it pulls.
@RichieCat42232 жыл бұрын
@@Dorkyand40 What is EPA ? When it pulls going slow like for trim adjustment ?
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
Epa is throttle range. So I lower it to 75 vs 100.

@@Dorkyand40 That can't apply to me. I'm running a VXL class and don't have that option with the Futaba 3 PV controller and VXL esc. I subscribed to your channel to pick up ideas for my class. Would really see a video on your shock setting adjustments theory. Also don't know if Voo Doo tires are a benefit for my class.
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
First place to look would be some data logs but you can’t with a vxl so not much help there. Then it comes down to just trying to change your springs to where it starts to fail snd spin too much off the line snd then start to drop. Voodoos make everything better :)

Ride height currently is at 8-9 front and abt 12-14mm rear. I can’t remember exactly at the moment.

My buddy ran his dc1 today for the first time. Talk about a fragile unit. The 3d printed parts are garbage. He broke soooo many parts from a simple mid track flip
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
well that's unfortunate. I broke 1 molded part and 1 shock eyelet from a horrible curb a few weeks ago. that was it. faired well to me. but all these cars and luck really seems to be the deciding issue when it comes to what breaks on impact

Hi Chad..I watch u from the beginning of your channel.u literally went from saving us money on build.. keeping cost down..so now you have sponsors on certain products . like five Star.. high as hell...but we worry about if people are going to join the hobby..it's gotten waaaaaaaay to expensive smh..lol..but good vid other than that
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
it all is a little out of control for sure. R1 gave me the dc1 car and other then that there are no sponsors. believe me i still look for ways to save money but like you said a lot has changed.

id rather see you buld an run somthing like a dr10m kit my self. just somthing more affordable to most people.
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
it starts out that way but quickly spirals. look back at the channel and all the dr10 videos i did. the basic price tag is just the start. lots of needed upgrades. the car they ran at KOTS was over 900 bucks for just the factory team upgrades. these all end up costly for sure. R1 is looking to bring costs down and so is gfrp. hold tight a month or two and see what these guys have to offer
