R2-DTALK #1

FIRST OF A NEW SERIES.
This is from the Boba Fett's Vengence story arc. R2 is only in two of the 3 episodes in this arc however.
This is also the first of 3 DTalks for the episode R2 Come Home. So there's definitely more to come.
The great thing about these R2-DTalks is they can give R2 a little bit more personality. Which can be tricky as I don't want him to be too much like Chopper, while at the same time still give him a sense of humor. Let me know what you think. I enjoy feed back and of course...comments. Likes are appreciated as well.
The only downside is there are moments where there's a lot being said and over lapping so it may take one or two viewings to catch all the words. I did my best.

They legit made a new sound font for a one off charecter in starwars. Surprised they didn't reuse it for others... No wait hang on... R2 units have a specific sound font So do R3 R4... I think each astromech generation has a specific sound font correlated to its designated number. For example: R4 units have a high pitch whistle that sometimes sound like a busted saxaphone And astromechs with a 5 or a C in them have a very clanky kind of Hamer tone. Interesting.

Most attempts to translate R2 throw in a whole ton of cursing (or course) and play him up as having a being too Bender-ish. This is just feels more genuine. R2 is of course sarcastic and quippy, but at his core is a he's a real bro. Loyal, selfless, resourceful, brave, clever, the works.

Andy Dai R2 is described as being the family dog whereas Chopper is the family cat. So I tried to write it that way. Plus, R2 is serving in the middle of a war along side one of its greatest generals whereas Chopper is serving along side a group of misfits who are ALL rebelling in one way or another. Their personality traits reflect their situation. But if it makes you feel better there’s more Choptalks coming.

Clone Wars Windu doesn't even sound close to Samuel L Jackson... Dave Chappelle's Sam Jackson sounds closer to actual Sam Jackson... and CW Anakin sounds like Hayden Christensen and CW Obi-Wan sounds like a mix of Sir Guinness and Ewan McGregor
