I own a R31 & in this day and age its really sluggish & old but I still enjoy it :) The way it handles and the performance for its day & age is very amazing & I can see why it got the top award. You did good nissan !

I bought a gxe a year and half ago building her back to her former glory these cars are beautiful piece of Australian history Nissan you know the r31 is still loved till this day I live my gxe in gold colour

When he said about Nissan Skyline ti having remote boot release and ford Fairmont Ghia not having that feature was wrong. Fairmont Ghia's had electric boot release which was located in the lower trim to the right of the steering column and was a pull switch (not push button). Whereas the Skyline had a cable boot release actuated by a lever located beside the drivers seat. That same lever I believe also operated the fuel filler door. Pulling up the lever opened the bootlid and pushing down on the lever opened the fuel filler door.

I see my comment from 3 years ago and I now own a s1 Ti myself. First car and I love it, it does have some issues, but mechanically its perfect, all it needs is a new gear box as the current one is to automatic, needs more manual lol
