Professor Kukui is fit not fat, but yeah tanned hawaiian professor, named after a tree. Qwilfish, Probopass and Alomomola are real Pokémon (don't know what's up with the years though?). The sword-Pokémon is called Honedge and it's final evolution is the most overpowered piece of shit in the entire franchise. Also Mega-Scrafty had me rolling on the floor laughing. The backstory with AZ using a super weapon and splitting the universe is an actual thing in the lore. The Battle Funicular is poking fun at the different Battle Frontiers of each game (the unovan Battle Subway in particular, seriously look it up). "Dire Hit" is an item, it raises the crit-chance.

The entire arm thing ended up being a metaphor a lot like the skit joked it could be, but with an added conflict of 'fighting against the enviable before reaching acceptance' aspect.

Yes often. Did it surprise me by suddenly NOT being dumb? Yes, often. Did I enjoy the secondary cast more than the main? Yes, often. Also love the Lich because voiced by Ron Perlman. Man this pokemon video doesn't even SCRATCH the surface of the weird messed up stuff Game Freak has snuck into the lore. Just look at ANY GHOST TYPE POKEDEX ENTRY AFTER GEN 2!!! God I remember back when the most messed up thing was the 10 year old kid going out alone into the world and taking down basically the mafia..... We were so innocent then... What happened? Sometimes I go back and re-watch Danny Phantom because nostalgia. Have yet to regret it. It's a good show up until corporate decided to cancel it after 3 seasons and told the writers to make the show 'more kid friendly' in season 3 a.k.a. take the plot and characters out back, shoot them, and replace with cardboard automatons. Not necessarily in that order, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened. Nickelodeon has a tendency to do that.... *looks at LoK, sighs, and shakes head* You could have been coherent like your predecessor if they didn't renew you season by season which nerfed character development and worldbuilding...HARD. ...It could have been great...instead it was mediocre....

Ok so the EXP share was introduced in Ruby and Sapphire (Gen 3), literally the games right after Gold, Silver and Crystal (Gen 2). Originally, it was a held item that shared EXP between the Pokémon at the front of your party and whichever Pokémon was holding it. However, in X&Y it was changed into a "key item" meaning it could no longer be held by a Pokémon and its effects were applied to the player's entire party, but players had the option to enable/disable it if they wished. Fast forward to 2018 "Let's Go, Pikachu!" and "Let's Go, Eevee!" are released and make one final change to the EXP share; It's no longer optional and players cannot switch it off. It's been that way since then.

No, it's pretty safe to say that the amount of Pokemon "fan art" outclasses Sonic's by wide margin. If you are talking about was about concern individual characters, you'll be right. But under the blanket of "Pokemon", well, the Pokemon fanbase is bigger than Sonic's.

Do not blame the alcohol, blame the alcohole, if that does not make sense, add "hard mode" until it does. As I understand it, the actual poke-time-line is complicated, but: there was the age where they (1st) invented pokeballs and digitalisation tech, then there was a world war that nuked the time-line in two, then, in the pre-RBY gen, there was the war that convinced people to no longer _real-fight_ with Pokémon, until Team-Rocket decided to use Pokémon outside sport again.

Thanks for this reaction, always nice to see more Jello. As to the restraining order, Finn was pressured into screwing up the 1st real romantic relationship he had (that an ancient immortal hadn't creepily groomed him into for "greater good" weaponised love reasons), after that, he didn't really deal with romance so well, at least until his 2 former crushes were happily attached themselves. His behaviour always kind of makes sense in context, but even he grows up enough to realise that he doesn't deal with that in a remotely healthy way and after he's delimbed and abandoned by X, his romantic rebound episode isn't a fun watch, generally considered a series low.
@Cyril862 жыл бұрын
Ever since Pokemon X/Y the EXP Share makes it so all pokemon in your party get the EXP even if they don't take part in the battle. Before then it was a held item that gave the pokemon you equipped it the EXP even if they don't take part in the battle. And none of the games are properly balanced for using the newer type of EXP Share. You can and will outlevel absolutely everything.

I'm with you on EXP Share and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I don't have the patience for grinding that I used to. I'll still do it for some games, but a lot of the time, I'd rather not. So yeah, I'm glad they now have a feature that has the entire team get EXP from a battle. Also, regarding the existence of a sword Pokemon, I'm gonna take a quote from Joshscorcher in his 'Top 10 Overhated Games' list where he mentions gen 5 of Pokemon. 'There have always been Pokemon based on objects or waste.' Let that sink in. In short, he was mostly getting after 'genwunners' for getting after the newer games for stuff Pokemon has always been doing, which is a very, very good point.
@mistermann41632 жыл бұрын
For me it feels like there should be some sort of other form of progression then like how some other games have done it. For pokemons case some sort of bonding meter feels like is needed in order to provide the challenge with pokemon. Meaning that as an example having a pokemon constantly die would make them have the chance of not coming out of there pokeball to fight. Stuff like that since one form of individual grinding has been minimalized in order to not grind that one pokemon and just have it in your back pocket until actually needing it in a fight.

In games X and Y and beyond, EXP Share was changed. Instead of being a Held Item, it was a passive setting that evenly spread all Battle EXP across the entire team. The lowest level members would gain more EXP to help them catch up with the rest of the team, however the Pokémon who participated in the actual fight would gain the most. In I believe Gen 8, Sword and Shield, EXP Share was more properly balanced out to focus a lot more on lower level members and be more even. The Pokémon who competed in the battle would still eat slightly more EXP still. You can no longer turn it off in the settings however. Not being able to turn it off seems to be the future norm. Some people hate modern EXP Share because it makes the game too easy, some like it because it means less wild grinding for the new team baby, and some don’t care because they’re breezing through the game with one Pokémon anyway so it doesn’t matter. Quick explanation on the Makes Game Easy thing. If all the Pokémon on your team are now roughly the same level that means it takes away the time you would be spending on using your newest members and training them yourself by fighting wild Pokémon or trainers. Because of this, your entire team becomes roughly the same strength and therefor removes the (admittedly minuscule) need for real strategy. I personally don’t mind it because I like having a chilled out experience, but have the setting be able to be toggled would be really nice for people who want a challenge.
@ZanathKariashi2 жыл бұрын
XP share has existed since the first game. in gen 1 EXP Share would take a share of the battle exp and split it among all your pokemon. (i.e. if you won everything with 1 pokemon, it would get half and the other half would be split with the whole team, if you used 3 pokemon it would get 1/3 to split and so on). (the only way to turn it off was to deposit Exp Share in your computer). Gen 2 made it an item the pokemon could hold and they'd get a share of xp for holding the item as if they'd participated in battle. (you got 1 by default but it was possible to get more). I think they used that mechanic (I played all the ones after Gold and Silver but they didn't really stick with me like G/S did) until X/Y where it was toggle that just gave full battle xp to all pokemon in your party.

02:03 he use to date the Princess of the Fire Kingdom but had a dream that had the Cosmic Owl appear in it - a higher cosmic being who, if they appear in your dream, then that dream they appeared in becomes prophetic and *will* come true (something the Cosmic Owl itself tries avoid if the dream might end up being really messed up, but "life happens" also applies to cosmic beings it seems) - and in that dream he saw that he would screw up their relationship, so he spent the next few days trying to prevent that from happening but doesn't know what "it" is exactly that he will do wrong and accidentally ended up causing the Flame Princess to go to war with the Ice Kingdom for a day. She dumped him when he told her because, well, inadvertently causing a war by doing really weird stuff just to stop your girlfriend from dumping you is rather... *yeah* 02:50 well they do work on it over the course of the series. But speaking of Mind Crippling Horror - surprisingly the Adventure Time multiverse is a Lovecraftian Funride that they tease all the way back in the first season and only start leaning more into in the later seasons, with entities like Golb, Coconteppi, and Orgalorg (*Orgalorg in particular becomes a major antagonist for a season with lasting effects for multiple seasons there after.) on top of which is set a 1000 years after a nuclear apocalypse. 03:40 no, Ice King isn't "the good guy" but he was **a** good guy before the crown, and after the protagonists learned about his origins (which happens rather early in the series) they grow sympathetic towards him and try to help him reform - and later in the series he does become a side protagonist. His character is almost that of a schizophrenic (because of all the people who previously wore the crown) who's original kind and sophisticated personality was berried under this Mania personality. 05:58 plenty of the character arcs got concluded by the final seasons - and in the spin off series after the show ended. 09:00 thankfully no, but he did go from having a cursed sword attached to his hand which was cut off and he later got a cursed arm that regrew later *and not in the way described here* (*and just got to the part where you asked us to lie if it is - no, believe me, it isn't.) which he then lost again and that arm became a cursed duplicate of himself called Fern (who later became the "Green Knight" which heavily references Arthurian mythos) and then he got a robotic arm from PB. And that's rounded down after skimming over the part where the cursed sword/arm fused with the sword that was made from an alternate timeline duplicate of himself that he got a season or two before this happened (he cycles a lot through various cursed swords in the show which eventually have their own mini arcs tide to them.) 13:43 Yes, their called Ghost Type Pokemon. (Because they are literally ghosts that possessed random stuff). There's also the Rotom that isn't a ghost but does posses and often improve household electronics. 14:43 ....yeah, sounds about like the usual Pokemon backstory lore. Can't even tell if he was joking here or if this is actual lore. 19:48 Third one is Evil Danny from the (now alternate) future, and the last one is Danny from an alternate timeline. There's too much to go over in the series or to rapid fire correct in what is meant to be comedic and shortened video recap of it all which is also 4 years behind the current lore of the series, so I hope this was helpful Airier. :) Edit: spelling and grammar and emergency addendums.

Yeah... Danny Phantom had a somewhat rushed last episode that left it open if there'd be more. >_>

But you ALWAYS have coffee, Airier! 🧙♂️☕ also, yeah, XP Share was added in later generation . Then BUFFED in gen 6 (x,y), slightly nerfed in Sun/Moon. Slightly.

Pokémon designs are, always have been, and will continue to be extremely dumb and or cool looking while also simultaneously having origins that are far too deep and reference things from real life way too well when you start digging. We have things ranging from Yokai, RPG Class Archetypes, A fruit that becomes a dominatrix, animals fused with objects like a snake turned into a double barrel shotgun, haunted objects like a sword the steals souls, a Pokémon that references and represents the porcelain pot and tea cup scandals of Britain, and just straight up objects like some gears. Lately the new designs from Gen 7 and especially Gen 8 have become much more thematic with their designated region. Sword and Shield, games made for Gen 8, are based on the UK and so every single new Pokémon and form added besides maybe three, two of which are from a DLC, are extremely British or at least reference neighbouring cultures. I adore Pokémon, even if their few later games have been lower quality then anticipated, they seem to be making a very big jump out of their weird comfort zone later this month with Pokémon Legends Arceus and I’m excited. Also yes, Quilfish and Alomomola are both real Pokemon. They don’t evolve as of yet and they haven’t had any real spotlight, ever, but they’re both real fish Pokémon. Quilfish was added in Gen 2, Alomamola in Gen 5. Considering the franchise has lately been giving old forgotten Pokémon new forms, evolutions, and glow ups, I suspect the same will happen for these guys soon.

the adventure time video is really not that good its just basically jello being salty about season 6 being garbage which to be fair the show did take a dip in quality since season 5 but it wasn't all bad elements was easily the best of the miniseries and actually vary enjoyable and distant lands makes up a lot for the finale and even season 6 had wake up and escape from the citadel which were fantastic openers to the season he is really generalizing and glossing over a lot of the show and not giving it the credit it does disserve

11:36 xp all has been in the game since gen 1, most don't use it because you only get half experience from each fight to give some to the whole team.

No it hasn't. It was added in Gen 6. Before that there was just the EXP. Share held item that shared EXP with one pokemon in your party.

Yeah so all of the pokemon in the pokemon are real, just saying maybe you should pick some of the new games or watch jaiden animations' nuzlocke videos, or watch several poketubers i can recommend the list is endless

Yes. The Sword is a Real Pokemon. Its a Ghost of a Dead Medieval era Warrior possessing a Sword. Its admittedly Lazy design is forgiven for it being a Strong Battler and Cool Lore.
