Whats worse its factory rubber bushings... If you're about that factory + life fine. But for me, spherical bushings with replaceable bearings are the way to go.

It’s great Nissan offers a program like this in Japan to keep these “classics” on the road. Aside from S2000 parts catalog and the Mx5 legacy parts, many foreign manufacturers in the States are discontinuing parts daily.

Yes you have to replace the collar after removing it. The collar bends a little while tighten the subframe bolt.

The rigid collars were not damaged, therefore Nissan reinstalled the rigid collars.

$13k for chassis restoration on a R34 by actual Nismo mechanics at actual Nismo shop. Didn't they throw out $400k+ for the official Nismo R32 full restoration? My assumption is that getting chassis, engine, and body all restored costs upwards of $50k!

I hope they still do this in 2040 - when current Nismo cars turn 20. Development on manual gearbox sportscars will soon enough stop, turning to the efficient EV era. Desperately hope Nissan will remain good practice by overhauling new parts to older models, as building the cars anew will become illegal.

@@godzillaresurrection8986 I'm not sure, but i think you should replace the bushings when you installing the rigid collar. Most of OEM bushings are made from rubber. When they gets older, they starts to cracking.

@Praneesh Sundar it is still 20 year old car. no, collar can be used with cars that has lots of power which is hard to manage. dont you even see how the exhaust moves when he makes gas pedal contact with floor? there will be still a little gap thats gonna make difference. and what he is trying is making the "perfect gtr". so yes, they fitted them back.

Take it from a standard road going car, you can replace the bushes for 100 of times but at the end replacing the whole unit at a certain time is needed to uplift the suspension performance of your car and believe it or not for some cars replacing the whole unit is the best thing you can do.
