Will this belt tensioner tool work on all minis I have a R56 without a blower

No, this is way different than my R56 tensioner. I just use a wrench on my R56 S

Did this fix your rattle? I developed a rattle and I’m gonna be replacing the chain tensioner within the next hour and if that doesn’t fix it, I need another idea of what it could be

No, the sound you get from a failing idler pulley is kind of a whistle sound. At this point I’m really hoping the sound is my timing chain since that’s one of my next planned videos anyways

@@ProjectMini I hope it isn’t mine. I just did the chain tensioner and it’s not gone, but I have sketchy exhaust heat shielding so it could be that, and I also have a bad exhaust leak

What’s weird about the rattle I have is that it only seems to get worse under load

@@ProjectMini afternoon i have the whistle lol but wuestion is i have the n18 but t i have the whole part and should i just take the wheel off the new part and just swap out the old one

Check the rattle is not coming from the super charger gears driving the water pump or the hydraulic cam followers that can stick and cause a rattle if they don’t expand with oil pressure and take up the slack between can and valves.
