For those wondering the brackets are dependant on standing based around initial seeding and how well teams do against higher and lower seeded teams. The 2-0 brackets will always be #1 vs #4 & #2 vs #3 standing teams meaning while it is likely that we see BDS and Faze play each other its entirely dependant on how well other teams do primarily the winners of DZ vs BeastCoast & E1 vs Bliss. Both Beastcoast and DZ have a very good shoot at going 3-0 with easy games after they play each other (although DZ is likely to play BDS in the 2-0 bracket depending on lower seeded games) Also the Major,im website should be accurate as it was been used for many years for Counter-Strike tournaments that follow the same system and has never been wrong in the past.

G2 losing to FearX is crazy. I actually predicted correctly in SSG & Liquid winning in the upper bracket. I had Bleed & G2 winning Lower without realizing the reverse would mean it would be impossible

I've been watching Siege for a long time but the last few years have been a blur - the sentence "maybe SSG are a little rusty on Clubhouse" sounds like it comes from an alternate reality. Forgive me if I'm wrong but if both BDS and Faze win their first 2 matches then would they not play eachother for their third matches? They both couldn't win 3-0 if that's the case. I've tried to find solid information on who plays who after the initial matches but I cand find anything that says something like winner of match 3 will play winner of match 6 for example.

I could be wrong here, but I THINK at the moment we have no way of knowing which teams will play each other next round. It depends on which teams beat which other teams. Since they are both high seeds, I would think it's unlikely they play in the second round assuming they both win in round 1, but I'm not sure if initial seeding plays a factor after the first round or not.

@@highgroundatz that is kind of annoying for making predictions, it'd be a shame for people to get predictions wrong because we don't know if 2 teams we are predicting to win all 3 matches will play eachother. Although I guess that doesn't really have too much of an impact on the predictions overall but there'll be at least a few people that will get teams right but placements wrong where if they knew which matches lead into eachother then they would have been able to alter their predictions to counter that outcome.

G2 getting eliminated without winning a single match and Bleed making that comeback in Cluhouse against Fearx... the play in was so much better and had more quality games comapred to the previous majors, this Major is already shaping up to be a special one, can't wait for Furia vs Bds from the get-go

Yeah I don't think Bleed is really playing as well as people expected. They almost choked Skyscraper against CAG, got double 7-0d by SSG, and had to make a big comeback to beat FearX.

Almost every person I saw talking about it had g2 going through and doing well in phase 2 so I think very few people if literally any who actually knew anything got it right. Maybe if you knew nothing and just guessed though.

That's sort of what I was thinking, unless you were really high on SSG, Bleed, and Liquid then there was a way for G2 to be eliminated that made sense.

In 1-0 bracket where winners of first games play, how are matchups determined?

I'm not sure. In the Buchholz system they use, teams' seeds for later rounds are determined by the scores of their past opponents. So if you beat teams that otherwise does well, you have a high seed and if you beat a team that does poorly, you get a lower seed. So maybe it just depends on the scores of the matches, maybe it still depends on the initial seed teams were given, or maybe it's just random.

Because it's swiss and not a normal bracket, that's something we can't really predict. Maybe they will meet in swiss or maybe they won't. Unless you know something about the format that I don't.

I might be underestimating them, but I can't pick them all just because I think one will make it through, since I don't know which one that will be. I think on average they have a lower chance than other teams of making it, but there are enough of them so one is likely to slip through.

@@highgroundatz yeah man the ssg and cag osaca really saved me with 2pts each in phase 1 but in phase 2 i kinda wanna make safe choices like you did but there will be some upsets in the matchups in the winners bracket (like imagine if faze and bds matchup that will kinda terminate 2 points from the prediction even if both go through because of the arrangements.

BDS looked insanely good on paper when this roster was formed, and they've looked crazy good this stage. Furia had some struggles in Brazil and I feel they may be complacent now that they've won everything there is to win. I still wouldn't fault anyone from picking them though.

@@highgroundatz hmm, at the Major in Atlanta, the seeding of the second round teams was different, the Buchholz coefficient begins to take seeding into account only from the 3rd round, but why is the 2nd round somehow random in this program?) Well, in general, if some favorite team loses in round 2, then theoretically BDS and Faze can be don't meet, but round 2 in the video is absolutely illogical)
