Well, the thing with flipping skins for credits is that it might still be slower than going for a snipe if the skin you're trying to get is super expensive. Ofc if you already have a lot of credits, then you can flip more expensive skins and make more profits. But you already need a lot to begin with. Some people just dknt have the credits and would rather go for a snipe trade to get their skins, but you are right, if you first can build up to a nice amount of credits you can get more credits flowing in with flipping skins which you can then spend on the skins you actually like.
