R6 SIEGE: First time ever playing GOYO!

Talking about operators site set ups, ANCHORS are usually just tanks or easy access to sites or supports

For the canisters you should put them on windows with barricades or doors with barricades. Another trick that you can use is if you know the other team has thermite or an operator that can breach through reinforced walls, you can put them on the reinforced walls so that when they breach the wall it stalls them so you can hold the angle and try to hold them back from the hole. Keep up the good work.

putting them on barricades as part of strat can be good but putting them next to the window/door lets your team pop them when it's most effective

Yeah if they just shoot down barricades early your kinda wasting his potential vs you putting it on a wall and shooting it when needed. Like when there's less than 30 seconds left is the perfect time to pop goyos. If you put them on barricades there not lasting that long especially the higher in ranks you go

If you ever feel like you can’t control a guns recoil with a magnified scope try a 1x on it. Just because a gun has ACOG doesn’t you should always take it, use what’s comfortable for you.

You made great plays as Goyo, with his canisters they last for about 20 seconds and deals a lot of damage. The Vector is great for high fire rate but has a lot of recoil so use whatever you feel comfortable with. Try using the Impacts as well for both shield Ops and detonating the canister, placing the canister on half walls or tables will increase the area slightly (and it will cover both side of the half wall). Theme Park is a map that Goyo exceeds in and placing the canisters in certain locations you can lock down an entire area for a good amount of time

You can also put the Goyos on reinforcements so that when they open the wall, the Goyo breaks automatically.

The vector is actually considered a very good weapon, i personally love it. Even though it has higher recoil than many other smgs, the rate of fire definitely compensates for that

A tip: with Goyo his canisters activate even if it breaks where they rested so It is preferable to place them on the barricades or reinforcements so as to waste the opponents' time which is the best thing for a defender but also near or above the doors is fine

On goyo it’s not really necessary to worry about attackers being able to see a canister as it just slows themselves down. The exception being if you plan to detonate multiple cans at different times to deny an area for longer as attackers can prematurely destroy them at one time

Goyo used to have his canisters on a shield, practically having 2 or 3 shields with a canister on it

Hey, just a friendly tip, when you are playing in admin office (the small room next to open area) I'd reccomend reinforcing that triple soft wall there. And maybe even the wall next to you rotate

BTW, goyo doesn't has to be an anchor. If your team know what to do with the canisters, then you can take impacts, place said canisters and go off to roam. Good job for understanding his utility tho. He's not the simpliest operator.

Honestly, some of the placements are not where I would think you would put them. Also, you should worry less about them being spot by attackers as attackers would not want to shoot them in most situations due to them blowing up when shot. Instead you should worry if they are at a place where they would waste attack's time and if your team can see them. Placements you that should not make you worry about them seeing are on barracades and the wall that is commonly breached as them seeing doesn't matter as them breaking canisters just makes them to either go in elsewhere or wait till they go out (which is 20 seconds each).

sprinting in siege is your worst enemy. try not to do it or only do it when you’re %100 sure no one could be around other wise you are at a great risk of dying because you make a lot of noise and you can’t aim in when you are sprinting.
