This is how overpowered blackbeard was when Operation Dustline got released on Xbox.
It was nerfed at the launch of Operation Skull Rain after 3 months of being a monster.

If I remember correctly, Black Beard's shield had 800hp at one point, now it's 3 shots I believe. Crazy that's how he started out, I hope they adjust him a bit more as well, I think he has a lot more potential

This was a glitch, it was fairly common though, so most people think it was a feature, his shield had 800hp, around 20 bullets broke it, still broken, but this glitch, his shield had 8000 hp.

I like how the shield breaking was a feature but the devs thought so in order to balance this the player needs to unload all the ammo they have into it in order to break it. Just make it unbreakable at that point lol.

Beleive it or not, the shield was originally intended to be indestructible. It nearly made it to the game in that state and was only changed maybe a month prior to release because the some playtester at the time gave the negative feedback. That wouldve been hilarious.

This has to be on the unreleased beta version of Y1S2. When the season launched, Blackbeard had 800hp on his shield, however in the unreleased beta version, his shield had 9,000hp.

I love Blackbeard, not because the bullshit gadget but I enjoyed playing with his guns, I like the scar, and his character just looks cool. So I bought the elite skin and within a month they needed his guns, for no reason really, now he’s truely unusable, I didn’t use the shield because at that point,(around a year or two ago now) it was better to be able to run fast to escape danger than take 2 bullets to the shield and the ads time was terrible

I don’t remember it being that powerful when him and Valk dropped but it was still an incredible pain in the ass. It desperately needed a nerf but Ubi kept fucking it up every time they changed it. I don’t remember when exactly, but they finally hit an acceptable sweet spot between the shield being useful but not making Blackbeard invincible… but literally 2 people still complained and it was nerfed once again, solidifying the fact that Ubisoft is not adept at balancing weapons/gadgets after they release. Blackbeard was done dirty.
