I got a 2700x on a black Friday for 120 before ryzen 3000 launched they where trying to get rid of inventory so that's why I got it so cheap of Amazon

An i5-10400F (6C, 12T) is currently $150 at newegg.com while an R7 2700X (8C, 16T) is $400. Not bad for the Intel CPU.

why run the intel one with 2666 mem? From AMD website for the 2700: "System Memory Specification Up to 2933MHz". At least run the same mem specs if you don't run the official ones.

@@voidgamingstudios8955 the non k cpus will go often as high as 4400 if you have a good chip and good ram while the zen+ will usually tap out at 3600mhz.

its not the CPU that wont support over 2666mem, it is any non z motherboard that is capped at 2666 and 2933mhz for i7. getting a z motherboard would cost more than getting the 10400f so makes no sense. I have a 10400f with 2666mhz and it runs very well much cooler than ryzen cpus. You do lose a few fps with ram though but no big deal. you are probably not gonna go with a 3080/90 with this.

@@xboxnerd4759 it can't run tho 580 can't even get 25fps at 1080p mid in the newer games like cyberpunk and the medium, games are getting demanding. 3080 here is getting bottlenecked since it is meant for 4k not 1080p.
