Correction#2: I had an error in my spreadsheet, the Rate of Fire within the burst is 300RPM, not 600ms. The burst delay and TTK values stated are correct though.

Are you sure about the 700ms two shot kill with an odd number of shell? First shot instant 0ms and then 500ms later second shot assuming perfect conditions. Still not a very good ttk

@@icee2911 First shot is instant but the fire time of that shot must finish before the delay starts and then you have to wait for the delay as well. So the TTK in this situation with my correction is 600ms

Nico Jefferson Fuck off. Also, a few notes: - If you didn’t know, shotguns have a base damage per pellet. In addition, for every 2 pellets hit, you get a flat damage boost. You also get a headshot bonus, but it’s almost negligible so aim for center mass so you don’t miss pellets. - I *HIGHLY* recommend you watch Elgoomtaf’s video on the R9-0, as he goes further in depth with shotguns than Ace IMO. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZCWdZhsgb6Fq7M -It essentially takes you half a second while you pump in a new pair of shotgun shells post-burst, which can spell life or death! -Ace does *not* cover this, but if you sprint/weapon swap cancel the reload, you will NOT repump a new shell if you were reloading from an odd number of shells! This means you’ll still only be able to shoot one shell before reloading! So never, *EVER* reload cancel the R9-0 if you’re adding an odd number of pellets! -Since the R9-0’s OHKO range got nerfed, just two-tap all the time unless you’re in Hardcore. Even then I’d still probably two-tap just to ignore the “odd shells” issue described above. -You can 2HKO with the R9-0 out to the max range, but it’ll be super hard. I’d honestly just avoid those engagements or pack a magnum sidearm (the .357 or .50 GS) or even the Renetti burst. - Shotgun pellet spread on the R9-0 can be kinda iffy. I wouldn’t bother ADSing despite Ace states it’ll reduce your spread by 20-30%. -The shotgun barrels are kind of useless on the R9-0. If you’ve got a spare attachment slot, then go ahead and use it on that. Otherwise I’d use the slot for something else. -If just *one* pellet hits your victim’s legs, the Frangible Disabling perk will activate and stop them dead cold for a split-second and even give them a concussion-esque effect! Elgoomtaf covered this, too, so I suggest you check his channel out. -Slugs are zeroed for 30 meters. If you’re *insistent* on wasting an attachment slot to make the R9-0 a troll shotgun, then aim a bit lower than what your sights indicates unless you’re shooting out to medium range.

For testing pellet spread, he should shoot a pistol shot and aim there with the center of his crosshairs and with his iron sights, just for reference. In editing, he should mark that pistol shot red so we don't get confused. I doubt he'll see this but it never hurts to try. Edit: My birthday was yesterday but most of the celebration is today. Then again it was probably the 2nd best shotgun before the nerf. It almost had the range of the Model 680, but could fire a 2nd shot much easier. I think the R90 is in a good place now although it does feel inconsistent.

I remember FPS Russia did a video on the R9-0 (DP-12). Double Barreled shotguns are cool as hell. But a double barrel pump action 12ga shotgun is awesome.

I think the odd firing pattern (fire twice, pump once, etc) could be problematic under stress if you don't practice enough. Of course, "short stroking" could be a stress issue with any pumps. I really think bullpup shotties could be great home defense weapons, but it's a shame none of the options are reliable or straightforward enough for me to trust with my life.

I used to own a Mossberg 500, but couldn't see myself using it inside due to its length (hence my eagerness every time I see a new bullpup enter the market).

I think the R-90 is a beast in Warzone. If you catch a squad in a building and get one downed, it’s over for them. They will think you have the 725 based on the sound the gun makes and push you not knowing you got 12 more rounds for em lmao

imo the R9-0 is the most interesting video game shotgun released in recent memory. Something as simple as 2 shots per pump instead of 1 breaks up the formula for vidya SGs. it's so satisfying, even though personally I find shotguns to be kinda irritating to play in MW

I'd highly recommend Choke, Tac Sentry, Ftac Close, Slugs, and Cronen optic. Yes it sounds like a dumpster fire but I've gotten some pretty good results.

Nice vid. I am a very heavy user of this gun and it is my top weapon by a huge margin. In light of the recent mini buff to the frangible perks, I think the Disabling version you mentioned is an especially powerful choice. I do wish you reviewed the Merc Foregrip, as it advertises bonuses to both Recoil Control and Aim Down Sight Speed which can be a game changer for ADS engagements. The sprint out time, ADS slowness, and very shaky recoil make those scenarios sort of uncomfortable. Would be interesting to see if that attachment which supposedly targets two of those areas actually delivers on its advertised bonuses.

Hey Ace. Gotta say, I always appreciate your videos. High informative value, easy to understand, quick and to the point, what's not to like? Just a little question from me: You say in every video that you'd be looking at the "unique attachments" for each gun, however you have a tendency to skip some of the actually unique attachments. Some are negligible, like the 2x2 optics on the RAM-7 for instance, but there are some you missed that may actually have a larger impact on the gameplay, like the Bipod Foregrip on the FN Scar 17, or the Snatch Grip on the PKM. Other times, like the M13's Skeleton Stock, or the Oden's Colossus Suppressor, you did cover the unique properties some of them have. Is there a specific reason for that? Because I feel some guns get a part of their identity from these special attachments and you seem to be glossing over those. Otherwise, great content, and I'll keep watching for more!

I love this shotgun I use this and any AR I have unlocked (in this case I'd use a Kilo 141, suppressor, foregrip, your choice of scope. And a 40 clip mag if possible)

For anyone who says the R9 is bad, doesn’t know that most of its kills is two shots regardless but the best hip fire TTK. If you use it has a hip fire only and kit it out for speed to fire it’s such a solid shotgun. It’s my most used gun. The fact that you can take out a whole team in a blink of an eye if you flank is pretty damn good. It definitely doesn’t need a buff or a nerf cause it still takes skill to get up close in this game and rush

The r9-0 is one of those guns that you dont need attachments for. It's kinda like the sks in that way, where if you have the focus perk and an optic youre good to go. With the r9-0, its good on its own. Sleight of hand is useful tho.

I use it in warzone and you will never lose 50/50 gun fight with this shotgun at close ranges. And for long ranges, if you use it that way, then you are noob. My personal ladout is Grau for mid to Long ranges and this shotgun for close ranges. Pretty solid

My go to in hardcore. Stretch that range with choke and sentry barrel, red laser, and grip/ stock for sprint to fire speed. I can hip fire most dudes, and aim down sights to tag those just a little far away

Something important you actually missed is that when you shoot one shot, the only way to reset the burst is to shoot again. You cant reload your gun and it will reset the burst because the bullet is not with the original burst. For example, the gun burst is 2-2-2-2-2-2-2. That's 14 bullets. When you shoot once you know have a 1-2-2-2-2-2-2. That's 13 bullets. Now when you reload you wont get the 2 bullets burst for the next burst. When you reload it will look like this, 1-2-2-2-2-2-2-1. The full 14 shots. I noticed this when I was getting the gun gold and I was doing the reload kills. I would shoot one shot and reload expected to reset my burst but it will only let me shoot once and that caused me to die. Just an advice so you dont make the same mistake as me.

The Feels Club it’s amazing but only at close range. If you know you’ve got people in those apartment buildings or if the circle is in a really close quarters area this gun slaps. It’s very situational but really catches people off guard. If you’re in squads and you’ve got people better then you sniping get an overkill class with this and you can be the close quarters guy.

It’s really good if you’re on your own and have a squad trying to kill you, if you manage to take on each one at a time you can kill 3 or 4 people one after each other so quickly. So fun to do

I think it's decent if only because if it's overall fire rate and capacity making it more forgiving of a shotgun in shotgun ranges. It might be a 2 hit or quit kind of gun, but if you catch a group off guard by even a little you can clean them up. Or just spam in shipment... I did that when matchmaking was borked during the double XP weekend. Just ran the thing with a laser and choke, didn't ADS much, but... If it works it work! And even if the ADS tightening isn't consistent it's a consistent feeling shotgun. The 680 is the strongest in over all balance for power and versatility, but can struggle with groups. The 750 really kind of is a 1 hit or quit considering the tight pellet spread, ADS or otherwise. Because even if you kill with a shot from the second barrel, you have a full reload to do. And if you don't have the perks and attachments for it like I do, it's a struggle bus of a shotty. I haven't used the Origin or VLK.

For me the 5mW lasers on shotguns are just no brainers. Due to the massive reduction in sprint out time there really isn’t much reason to not just sprint everywhere, and since when you’re sprinting it’s turned off anyways the 5mW laser really just covers it’s own weakness

I prefer adsless shotguns for any kind of close range combat for the mobility, custom origin is my favorite but floor-r9 is great. But since I like to use snipers, having adsless shotgun and sniper leaves me vulnerable when having to deal most outdoors combat situations, so I'm usually running AUG with hdr to not to be a liability. I do worse with AUG in close range combat, but on average I still do better with AUG so I tend to not to use shotguns after the second loadout. Though apparently kar98k oneshots in warzone, so I'm currently leveling that up and maybe I could use that with shotgun for midrange and occasional long range combat with it's faster ads strafing and adstime. Kinda wish I could run 3 guns, but I guess RPG would always make more sense as 3rd gun no matter what. Once it's leveled I'm gonna try your k98r countersniperbuild with 4x flip, cheers.

This is surprisingly good in Warzone, even the two variants you pick up from the ground. Though I would say if you plan on making an overkill class with this shotgun, do not use slug rounds. The inconsistency with slugs in this game makes makes that attachment a waste of a slot

wont choke attachment would be the best for both ads and hipfiring as that makes your pellet spread tighter? i kinda dont see the suppressor's value due to the damage system of the shotguns. and well, more pellets hit equals more damage right? i think choke would be the best overall attachment for it since you really will be seen regardless so might as well not take any chances of rng f-ing over your pellet spread and use choke. at least for me.

Hey Ace! I know this is a completely random video to say this, but there’s a bug I’ve noticed that happens consistently with snipers, and the weapon drop field upgrade. My teammates and I like to use weapon drop when playing plunder because it gives you an extra attachment. I am a sniper main, and whenever I am using a reticle that’s isn’t the default one, if I pick up a new attachment from the weapon drop, it resets it to the default reticle. This is really annoying because of how inconsistent the reticle is with this bug. I only bring this up because I don’t know where to complain about this, and I hope you could help out. Thanks!

Its not even or uneven amount, its litterally if you pump you can shoot twice. If you shoot one, reload to an even number and go on you wil only have that second shot. It would make more sense to do it the other way tho

According to in-game model, the two barrels are just like increasing/decreasing 1cm from the original barrel. I wonder how these make any difference. Now the barrel tests make sense.

I think it's silly when people accuse youtubers/streamers of reverse boosting, but I can definitely see why a lot of people do. 9:53 for that entire clip, if that was me, every single person you killed would have killed me before you shot them. Maybe the only exception is the two with the riot shield on their backs that you shot from behind, but even then they'd probably have whipped around and instakilled me in those few milliseconds it took for you to shoot them.

I've done a small testing myself with the r9-0. Teste at 60 fps, I compared the ads time of the FTAC Close Quarters Pro and the Merc Foregrip. And I concluded that these 2 have the same amount of improvement, but there are cases where the Pump took 1 frame longer, but it was 1 in 20 or maybe even less. I personally rather use the Pump than the Foregrip becuz the recoil reduction is quite insignificant to me and the reduced movement speed ist quite unneccesary.

Can't they see the green laser when you ADS too??? The only time you cannot see 5mw is when full on sprint with the gun pointed to air...
