For my own mental health, I don't pay attention to the amount of hours I've spent hunting. There were times where it was 6-8 hours a day for weeks straight, and other times it was 45 minutes once a week depending on my mood. I'd assume I'm in the mid to high hundreds of hours in, but if it's something I enjoy that keeps the crippling weight of reality from crushing me, then its a perfectly ok way to spend time. My favorite methods are Hordes, SOS, Chain-fishing, and Picnics. The older chaining methods, egg breeding, and soft resetting are just not my jam and take a patience I don't have.

I love both main series Pokemon games and Pokemon Go. I know Comday, raid and even worse, Guaranteed shinies aren't as highly regarded but the others are still great and hell, if you love those sparkles, and I mean who doesn't, what does it matter if they're from PoGo.

My craziest shiny encounter was in Pokémon diamond . I was chaining for a Pokémon I don’t recall , at a chain of 46 and saw the shiny sparkle grass . I made a wrong turn and my chain was broken . But it was broken by a full odds graveler shiny . Caught it and then learned it had exlposion lol . Glad I caught with one ultra ball … the good ole days , best shiny hunting never was with the poke radar
