Same, grew up watching the Orions flying over my house. Was sad when they lost the black/white colour scheme - I miss seeing them, the P8 does not stand out like they did.

@@tomcolls9264 I think I saw it today actually. I wasn't sure of the designation but it was a large jet transport. I am not under the runway landing path but I am not far from it and can see a lot of the stuff if I am outside - particularly if I am near Curtis Road.

I learnt to shoot an SLR L1A1 during my Corporal course while in the Air Training Corps (before they changed the name to cadets to appease the stupid). At RAAF base Edinburgh

nah because when say a ship attack or submarine attack is about to happen, they would most likely go for the southern state, so just in case, the p8 would search around the south, and the p3 Orion used to go around the country everyday, so they don't just go around SA. but i also reckon maybe one every state.
