Im so f*king blessed and exited. I qualified couple weeks ago to finnish air force team. It will be a long road ahead before I get to fly these bad boys but it will be worth it. Great video btw!

chomidore3 it happens every year over a course of 3 days in March for the Grand Prix where there will be a 10 min fly over aerial displays on the Fri, Sat and Sun last day of racing.

Just love watching and hearing the FA/18 flying over low, it reminds me of the time that I use to go to the Detroit Gold Cup Hydro Plane Races and an FA/18 would put a low flying show at lunch time, one of the best experiences to watch and hear.

I love the F-18s!!! Those were great shots and audio you got! I was in San Diego near where the Navy does flight training for Top Gun pilots and it was incredible! This reminds me of that time! Glad you and everyone there got to enjoy! Great flying by that pilot! RAAF is legit!

Yes, the f18 is an awesome jet and your video is one of the best I've seen. I have seen the U.S. Navy Blue Angels fly and they use the same jet.

@@bcask61 Most of the Aussie Hornets are F/A-18A's an even older jet. There is no power different, since they use the same engine. The Super Hornet does use a different engine though

Those lucky guys in the apartments, wow. Specially the last passes, I guess they almost literally could see inside the cockpit. This will never happen in NL, so close to a city, even though we finally have a F1 coming in 2021.

They could never do this in the US because they can't do certain a lot of what they did here over crowds so if the plane were to crash, it won't crash into the crowds.

Steve Atwood Only the best of the best get to plant their seat in the seat of one of these things. The pilot would probably be a veteran of Afghanistan, or Iraq or Syria. They are used to some pretty wild flying in dangerous places. This would be a chance to just have some fun.

@@brendan.1979 I know... I miss it. Here in Los Angeles, the Thunderbirds F-16's did flyovers in honor of our first responders but I couldn't see them. I haven't been to an air show since 2011 I think, Miramar in San Diego is usually the big one. Lots of F-18's based there but that air show also has our F-22, Blue Angels, and F-16 as well. Glad Australia has the F-18, it's a beast!

Ii was planning on attending an air show in 2020 for the first time in years (maybe Miramar, maybe the one out by Edwards), but the pandemic put an end to that. I was out looking for the Thunderbirds flyover here in L.A. as as well, but they didn't fly over our area . . .

Not a Super Hornet, but an older hornet built under license in AUSTRALIA.

WereCitadel It is a Super Hornet, you can tell by the intakes. Super Hornets have square intakes where as classics have circular intakes.
