Fantastic recording, as usual. I am so glad that Panditji has chosen to play a long alaap. In most of his recent recordings on KZbin, he seems to skip the alaap. That takes a delicious development out of the raag, leaving me wanting it desperately. Truly the doyen of the Imdadkhani gharana currently.

So grateful for the history, background and the evolution of the great Raga. But, how is this Raga as popular in the Tamil/South Indian music too? Can someone enlighten us? Grateful for this gift but for the missing name of the tabla accompanyist. Best regards.
