Could you possibly give an intro about the artists and some information about the performance itself (like laya etc.) for those who would like to learn? Thanks for all the great work. It gives one comfort to know APMCKHI is making such tremendous efforts to preserve such an important yet ignored part of our culture.

mothsmoke Important yet ignored part of our culture! Absolutely right sir. I found Ustad Mubarak Ali Khan probably the most sureela vocalist in classical arena. Akbar Ali is his Shagird and also his nephew. They come from a very humble family and doing a great service to classical music. Ustad Mubarak Ali consider Ustad Ameer Ali Khan his spiritual guru but he initially learned musics from his chaha Ustad ghazanfer ali Khan 😊

I am very fortunate to listen to this jugalbandi by chance.What a performance and perfect videography with great sound quality.Vocal jugalbandi performers are far and few now a days.It is so pleasing to listen to such high quality vocalists keeping our Hindustani musical heritage alive.Akbar Ali Sahib seems to have taken a big challenge in this very difficult field of music.
