Wow. What a concert! And what an audience. This is amazing. Music flourishes and grows where peoples’ cultural richness is to this level. Bravo to people of Russia and the Russian culture. I wish we had such an audience in America.

We do have an apt audience in here in America as well... problem is they are centered around west coast where Ali Akhbar Khna saab and Pandit Ravi Shankar Ji created their lineage ... and Pandit Swapan Chowdhury carried it forward.. The east coast (surrounding NYC) seems to be absolutely dry of this culture ...

@@atanughosal01 If you exclude the Bay Area of Northern California, which you mentioned, about 99.9 percent of America is dry of this culture.

@@ajr1247 Very correct ... but to be honest .. Pdt Anindo Chatterjee and Pdt Krishna Bhaat runs a music school out of NYC ... which explains why a lil bit of culture is still prevailing in/around NYC and NJ ... but for the rest part its super dry (best that I know)

@@atanughosal01 It’s very true. There is very little support for artists in the US. I have been to a few concerts by visiting artists from India. I was very disappointed to see at one of those concerts, only 5 people showed up. Artists need people to support and people need to have culture to appreciate art. In a country such as the US where culture and value mean nothing, the art and artists are ultimately doomed.

Without style people don't see. Just see the views of Nikhil Banerjee or Vilayat Khan or Ali Akbar Khan. So less. So Purbayan ji has been forced to do all this. Maybe you can make him your court musician and he can play for you the 'pure' music.
