Do you have hope for the future? Rabbi Cosgrove teaches that all of Jewish history has been a series of trials and tests, and it is hope that has sustained the Jewish people throughout. To guarantee the Jewish future, we must channel our hope into living vibrant Jewish lives.

I've been watching your videos with astonishment and admiration, Rabbi Cosgrove ! I'm NOT Jewish, I'm just an ordinary Greek who has been residing in the United Kingdom since the age of FIVE (in other words, since 1970), but all my life I felt that I had a Yiddishe neshomeh, and I have tried to express my own love for Ha-Shem by translating Hebrew and Yiddish songs on my LyricsTranslate page (search under "George Tzamouranis, lyrics"). As I understand it, THE FAMILY is the cornerstone of Jewish culture. Personally, I grew up in an utterly dysfunctional family, which soon disintegrated after my father's untimely death from cancer (when I was just TEN years of age), so I am truly moved to the marrow of my bones when I observe Jewish families : Your families appear to be so STRONG, LOVING, AND CONFIDENT ! I was born in a land (Greece) where the predominant culture (the "Greek Orthodox Church") has always had an undercurrent of Anti-Semitism, similar to that of the Catholic Church in Poland. I have met Greek priests who continue to describe Jewish people as "Christ-killers", and I am truly ashamed that such medieval attitudes are still rampant in many sections of society. I am fully aware of the immense challenges facing Jewish people today, in all the cities of the so-called "developed" world, especially if you are brave enough to wear recognisably Jewish clothing. As I understand it, the difference between Judaism (in all its varieties), and other religions, is one of ASCENT to SPIRITUAL and PHYSICAL ATTAINMENT, versus DECLINE. Societies where the majority populations are "nominally Christian", or "nominally Muslim", are all in a phase of DECLINE. Look around you, in every city of Western Europe or North America, and what you'll see is TERMINAL DECLINE, SOCIETAL AND FAMILY BREAKDOWN, POVERTY and HOMELESSNESS. Those who participate in noisy protests against the state of Israel, or against Jewish people in general, are THE LOSERS drawn from the underbelly of Western societies : people drawn from the worst districts of the inner cities and from the poorest sections of society. They resent and envy the SUCCESS of the modern state of Israel, and they resent, envy, and even vilify the SUCCESS of Jewish families all around the world. Those who identify with the Palestinian cause are the LOSERS from the bottom end of Western society who wish to identify with LOSERS and with ANARCHY ! I admire you for your commitment to family values, prayer, hard work, and the sanctity of the family ! This has been a terrible year, a challenging year, in which Jewish people have been made to feel that they don't fully "belong" to the society in which they grew up ! Without being Jewish, myself, I know, from personal experience, just how difficult it can be to be "accepted" into Anglo-Saxon society even when you've made EVERY EFFORT TO ASSIMILATE ! Your response to this challenge must to face every adversary eye to eye. As a faith, as a culture, and as an extended family, Jewish people are stronger than all adversaries. You WILL prevail, you WILL win, and the promises made to your ancestors WILL come true. Shanah Tovah to all of you !

Your own choice by deed was to leave Israel for the diaspora instead of vice versa and weekly preach to a paid up membership choir just about Israel from 5,000 miles away.
