No, of course this not OK! A friend of mine (he is European, non jew, non muslim) stayed a couple of months in Israel a long time ago (years). Every time he wanted to go to Palestine, he told me it was hell, he had to go through checkpoints, he was interrogated and searched. Sometimes they gave him a real hard time because they thought he had sympathy for the arabs. And they kept him a couple of times for hours there. In that time he was only 19 (!) and his mum in the appartment they were renting was waiting, extremely worried. Police never allowed him to call his mum. He will never go back to this country and told me the Palestinians are hated there and what they do to them is horrible. It is sequestration..

Many years ago I attended a meeting where a speaker was talking about peace between Israelis & Palestinians. She said that it won't work becuz the solution has to be about the correct sides of the issue: Those for peace vs. Those against. I learned from this speaker that the Palestinians who recognize Israel's right to exist must unite with Israelis who respect Palestinians right for dignity. They form one solid, permanent side that never breaks rank.

This is a good point where there are ignorant people everywhere. It’s not about being a Jew, Muslim, Christian…. I m Iranian-American born into Muslim family but not too religious to follow it. I have worked for an Iranian Jewish businessman as of 18 years of age, to this day whenever see him & his wife, there is mutual respect. I have had Armenian from Armenia refer to Muslim as savages (did not know I m standing next to her), have had great Armenian, Baha’i, Jewish friends. African-American city councilman did not like the fact an Iranian Muslim guest was in the same room as he. So, it’s ignorance of the person nothing to do with religion or nationality.
