Yasher Koach, Rabbi Breitowitz! I like your idea that kavod means recognizing the gravitas in your fellow.

Truth be told rashbi followed rabbi yishmeal when the romans came for him He hid in a cave for 13 years. He relied on hishtaldus . Also why didn't he use his heat vision on the romans ? Does it only work on farmers ?
@tamtov7 ай бұрын
I believe it was 10 years, plus another two after he came out and burned the people he couldn't tolerate conducting regular mundane lives in his eyes. The Romans were'nt Jews expected to be holy and saintly
@torahbits37507 ай бұрын
Did rashbi really shoot laser beams from his eyes ? Or is that a metaphor
@JohnDoe-bt8jz7 ай бұрын
Mostly people say it is a metaphor there are other articles and KZbin videos explaining it. I think AlephBeta does a really good video

Rabbi Auerbach ZT"L points out that it is better to take a haircut after Chatzos on such a Friday as we have this year,bif one can. It being more of a likavod Shabbat

I RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE with the notion that RIGHTEOUSNESS & KINDNESS are equal and must be applied together. The latter case comes FIRST because if you are not a MENSCH , then nothing else matters! There is a simple SOCIAL law of the universe - IF YOU WANT SOMEONE TO LISTEN TO YOU, THEN YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEM! It really comes down to that, something that escapes most people!
@jakobw1357 ай бұрын
Doesn't the study and practice of Torah teach you that you need some kind of SUSTENANCE & INCOME in order to realize the Mitzvahs therein!?
@jakobw1357 ай бұрын
The idea expressed by the death of Rabbi Akiva's Talmidim - an elitist, bourgeois, self righteous, pompous, arrogant attitude, hiding behind extolling SOMEONE ELSE - still being with us, deserves reiteration as follows - you CAN learn from literally EVERYBODY regardless of his training and whether or not he follows your particular protocol. IOW, you are NOT in a position to determine a person's true worth or the state of his knowledge. Realize that he has G - D within his subconscious and as a result, can access any and all knowledge of the entire Universe at any moment! Who are you to refuse, ignore, or even mock such an individual? We should use what the Creator gave us in order to ELEVATE your fellow to the best he can be, so that we should all respect and honor each other - through the worship of G - D in each and every one of us!!
