Yitzchak in many ways IMITATED the life of his father - and yet also managed to introduce personal variation! It's not as difficult as one might think because, the possibilities are indeed - INFINITE! Obviously, from the get-go, the difference between Tzaddik and Rasha is far greater than - from one level of Tzidkus to another. But we're splitting hairs here.
We also know that the TEMPTATION to resist the evil inclination is probably the HARDEST THING TO DO! Our history and that of mankind - proves this! So in the scenario of, Tzaddik - Rasha vs Tzaddik -Tzaddik, the former should be MORE CHALLENGING, MORE DIFFICULT, than the latter.

So...are Yitzchak's prayers much more powerful than the prayers of Avraham ?

Actually, Esav had no reason to be upset since he AGREED and ACQUIESCED to selling his birthright! Maybe you could say that he was under DURESS because of his hunger, but still, that would be considered a WEAK EXCUSE!

Why should Yaakov be a victim of DECEPTION, when it was DIVINELY ORDAINED through his mother, Rivkah?

There are two insights regarding the prayer of Rivkah and Yitzchak: First, the prayer of a woman should be HIDDEN from public knowledge and scrutiny because it can be more easily interfered with than that of a man Second, isn't it HARDER to be righteous, coming from a WICKED background, than a righteous one - because of TEMPTATION?

In terms of Yitzhak going his own way... an interesting point... he wasn’t even his father’s “favored.”

Isn't the WHOLE POINT of being brought into this world, with all of your positive and negative traits, to be able to use them for the service of Hashem? In the spiritual realm - there is no CHALLENGE!
