I agree, wholeheartedly, dude/lady. I still haven't played Xenogears or Xenosaga, or even Xenoblade Chronicles, I'm... sorry. I played the first Xenosaga game on PS2. I thought it was amazing. I know, it's a trilogy, right? I wanted a PS1, so I could play games like Xenogears, Final Fantasy 7, etc. But, my dad said no. It was too expensive back then. Games were like 80$, and we had to rent them instead. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED and appreciated my N64, a birthday present from my late grandmother, who I sadly, only barely remember her face. But, I never forgot how important she is, as a family member. I am glad I got to experience the entire Devil May Cry series, along with RE, through the remakes, except for 2, I played the original RE2 on the N64, and RE4 on the GC, when it first came out. Never beat it on the GC though. If it weren't for RE2, I don't think I'd be such a hardcore fan of both RE, and DMC, playing through the remakes of the 2002 GC RE, on my PS4, and RE0, The Re2 and 3 Remakes, and RE4. Along with the DMC HD Collection, and DMC5, but I'm still missing DMC4SE. And the Xeno games. Again, sorry. I think Xenosaga, Xenogears, Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X, are good games. I just need to play them... maybe someday. Also, nice username. Very catchy, dude/lady.

Let's not forget how Street Fighter 2 revolutionized the fighting game genre basically by accident. The way you can string combos together was not originally intended, IIRC it was the result of a programming error meaning animations didn't lock properly so you could string them together. But it worked and made the whole thing faster and more fluid so they rolled with it and gaming was changed forever by one happy little accident.

That's a good point, dude! Also, there's Super Smash Bros. That was supposed to be some kind of Dragon King fighting game, but then, somebody wisely decided to make the game about Nintendo characters fighting each other instead... but I think both Kingdom Hearts and Smash Bros. Are 2 of the best crossover games ever made. Especially Smash. Which has pretty much everyone from almost every series, Nintendo or otherwise, fighting to see who's the best. And I love how crazy KH's story kept getting. Just goes to show, no matter how crazy your idea may be, it CAN work out. As usual, Rabbid's right. I really do hope his video does help some struggling dev out there.

I agree, and couldn't have said it better myself, dude. Great point. Without games like Devil May Cry and Pikmin being created from other ideas, we may not have had amazingly stylish characters like Dante, or the DMC series as a whole, or RE4, as we know it. It's weird, and awesome how that works. I may not have gotten into DMC, if it weren't for me accidentally playing RE2 on the N64, as a kid, resulting in some scares. But, it also made Leon S. Kennedy my favorite RE character, because he was just an ordinary rookie cop, fighting zombies, and "G", all on his first day, along with meeting a sexy Asian lady, Ada, and them having some chemistry, despite only knowing each other for a very short time, even in the remake. But, because of 2, I wanted to see how Leon would get in 4, and see how much cooler he got. And when I first saw DMC, I thought it looked cool, but it was the trailer for DMC2, which was not as cool as it looked. But, I'm glad I got to play through those games. Becoming a fan of RE, and DMC, because of an accident, and me playing survival horror games, as a little kid. But, I'm glad it happened. I may not have gotten into 2 of the best game franchises ever if it weren't for games like DMC being made "accidentally". Jackpot!

The original Donkey Kong arcade game should have been on here. It was originally supposed to be a popeye game, but Nintendo couldn't get the rights, so they replaced the characters with their own creations. Just think, if Nintendo were able to get the rights to popeye, the entire game industry would be a vastly different place.

Hey, are Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X all related to each other, as games? Or are they like SMT and Persona games, where, they're not related to each other, and not even set in the same universe? Well, there was SMT: Nocturne, which guest starred Dante, from DMC, and the Persona Q games, which guest star the main characters of P3, P4, and P5, even though both main protagonists of P3 died, and then there was BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, which guest starred 4 different series, Blazblue, (obviously), something called Undernight: InBirth, something called RWBY, (apparently pronounced "Ruby", or whatever), and, the kicker, the Investigation Team from Persona 4. I hope the Xeno series are related in some way.

@@shawnfields2369 (This is a very long reply. Wow.) To put it simply, the Xeno series doesn't have a central story, but there are recurring themes among them. Also, 1) The Xenosaga series is connected between games 2) Xenoblade 1 and 2 take place at the same time in different dimensions. They are connected. 3) Xenoblade X is not connected to the other two, but it contains references as well as Nopon and Telethia. So basically, Xenogears is its own thing, Xenosaga is connected with itself, Xenoblade 1 and 2 are connected, and Xenoblade X is its own thing.

I know, Xenosaga is a self-contained trilogy, having some religious themes, too, right? I wanted to get through all 3 games, but I couldn't finish the first one. I don't know why. I hope I'll get the chance to play the Xeno series someday. I loved the first Xenosaga game. The party members, and Shion; was very relatable. I especially enjoyed KOS-MOS's ability to pull machine guns from out of nowhere, along with swords, and cut shit down. It felt like something from a FF game. I wasn't too interested in Xenoblade Chronicles originally, because I hadn't heard too much about, until I played as Shulk in Smash 4. That was cool. I wanted to go back and check out Xenoblade. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to. My tv that used to play Wii games literally exploded, 2 years ago. My Wii has been in storage for the last 2 years since that. And I wanted a WiiU, but everyone hates it; I think? But, I still want a Switch though. So, Xenoblade Chronicles X is basically just like a self contained story, in a same or similar universe, but isn't connected to the other Xenoblade Chronicles games? Ok. What about DragonBall: Xenoverse, and Xenoverse 2? Nah, just kidding. I know, they're just coincidentally named, they're not connected to the Xeno universe/series. And, they're just 2 pretty damn good DB games. But I really, REALLY LOVE the DB, and DBZ series, and I wanted to make a reference to them, before someone else did, and I was accused of joke theft. I'm not a thief, just a often misunderstood 26 year old White/Chinese/Filipino guy, who enjoys nerdy things, who also enjoys both writing, and reading, long messages. Secret Rings was made because the Wii simply couldn't handle Sonic 06, so they rushed Secret Rings out and split the dev team to work on both at the same time. One of many reasons Sonic 06 sucked; missing half of its dev team to iron out the flaws.

Top Five Unexpectedly Difficult Games. Scrap Mechanic survival mode is one, because of warehouses. They're dungeons filled with tape roll-shooting robots that kill the player in two hits, so a stealth shooter style strategy has to be used, which is far more difficult than the combat in the rest of the game.

Speaking of big franchises with humble beginnings, what about Donkey Kong? This game was originally going to be about Popeye. Tsushinki had originally wanted to make an arcade game involving America's favorite cartoon Sailor Man rescuing Olive Oyl from Bluto, but Nintedo couldn't secure the video game rights to the characters. So, he just replaced Popeye with a carpenter, Bluto with an ape, and Olive with Pauline, and history was made. Oh, and Tsushiniki did manage to make a Popeye game later, as any fan of 80s arcades know.

Just want to add this as an honourable mention, but *Crash Team Racing.* NaughtyDog intended for the game to be a disaster, thereby sending Universal off with a steaming pile of crap as payback for all the mistreatment they got... Top Five Most Quotable Video Games

I think Devil May Cry could make that list. With lines like the iconic "I should've been the one to fill your dark soul with LIGHHHTTTT!", to "Jackpot!", or to a line the Demon Emperor Mundus says when talking to Dante, quoted straight from, I think, the penultimate mission in the game, of the original DMC, and it also plays in the demo movie of the game too: "Again i must face a Sparda, strange fate, isn't it?" To which Dante says, "Strange and ironic, that it will end the same way" ah, man, I love that quote! There's also pretty much ANY other DMC game that's quotable, 1,3, 4, and 5. Maybe the original RE game? Like, "I hope this isn't Chris's blood", or, "Stop, Jill, don't open that door!", to Chris's quote at the very beginning, "Stop, no, don't go!!!" Or really any RE game. They've got a lot of quotes. Theres also maybe the Ace Attorney series, because saying, "Hold It!", "Take That!", and of course, "OBJECTION!" is very addicting and very, very, quotable. Just some suggestions. I hope RabbidLuigi sees your comment for that video though... it's a VERRY good idea, dude/lady.
